My dear Nairalander,

Pls let me not bore you guys with my long text but most importantly I would like to use this opportunity to draw the attention of everyone not to be a victim like me and also to look into my issues and see if I can have justice at the end of the road. Pls this just for mature people, no cursing and no english correction, pls just help me get justice.

I'm a nigerian, was born here in Nigeria but I do live since about 9yrs now in Switzerland and just return back some weeks to see how I can settle out my E-passport problem.

I was duped from one Mr Humphrey Uchenna Offor ( he uses this name too on fb and I just notice I cant find his page anymore but I do save a lots of his pictures which I will be uploading here soon).
It all started out when I asked the people I know around me to tell me how I go about the passport problem, since I have gotten a lots of information and didnt actually know which one to carry out and time is also not much on my side. I contacted my sister who also live outside the country, she told me actually she dont know much people in the immigration settle but she will see how she can help. Later that afternoon I got a call from my sister and she said someone will call me, just like she said the call came through in an hour or so from Humphrey Uchenna Offor. We talk and he said he just lost his elder sister and he at the burial ground somewhere in the east and that he will take his flight back to lagos the next day to look into my issue, that he know a lots of people, and because he is also a lawyer he would want me to make sure I get the best process in getting my passort issue resolved and because my sister is her good friend.

So the next day he called and said he meet someone and that he said the money is 70k and I shouldn't boader paying all, that all I need to pay is just 30k, all I need to do is just send him the 30k and he will send it to the man. And he even promise me that I will stay at his place in Lagos. I never doubt him cos I know my sister too well and love her and trust her, so no need in trying to prolong issue, my sister said the guy use to be an actor before and he even got a store for her in lekki.

Well since I dont have an ATM card yet I ask my best friend to transfer him the money, he sents it to the GTB Acct he sents us. This is the ACT name and no. Humphrey Offor 0142386151 GTB. So I called my sister and told her I have sent him money, my sister was angry and I was like why are u angry you shouldn't complicate issue, so later that same evening , he said something happen that he cant pay the rest himself and demanded for more 20k, I told my sister and she said No. I should not try it at all, I was confused and lost, because this same guy is the person who find you a store and u said he was an actor, she said what is left is just someone to go and check the store out, so I told her I will use this opportunity to check out the store.I was no way near doubt about this guy. So my sister ask him to return the 30k I sent him instead, so the guy called me that he will be sending me back the money, I was like not ok with the ideal cos for me that means, I have to start a from beginning again, I told him he shouldn't boarder that I will send him the 20k. I told my friend to do the transfer again.

So we came to lagos on monday 24.08.15 as arranged with him cos he said he will be picking us up at the park, getting there he told me the road safety people just arrested him and we should come to their office, it was a rainy day so we decided to enter one of the bar in Estate close to mile 2 there, after taking some bottles and enjoy some lagos pepper soup, we took okada thereafter and we truely meet this guy inside the road safety office, he recognise me once and gave me a signal to wait outside there, so when he came out we greeted and talked and he was there making calls, that the road safety officer are demanding 25k from him and he only have 22k and that his cousin is coming to get him the rest. I said to him, well if 3k is the problem, we can give it to you and later u can give us back, since time were no more on our side, then it was already around 4:20pm, he said they ask him to go to First Bank to pay the money, so we all took the bike there, so when we get there my friend and I were paying the bike men and we even ask him to rush in, that we are coming, he crossed the express and even the rail tracks and cos of the trust we have through my sister and we also had bag in our back, we said to ourself , we will wait outside the bank, it was there that we waited up to almost 5:30pm cos he said in lagos the bank work late and he also said as soon as he cleared his car, we will drive straight to the oga who is going to run my passport so later I told my friend let get inside the bank, we went inside and they told us they have closed for the day and we beg them to go inside and check the person we came with, the man went in and came back to tell us there is no one inside that bank of our description, it was then my friend and I just notice that he have duped us. We laugh the first 5minute cos we still could not believe our eyes...So I put a call straight to my sister and I told her everything and ask her, you said this guy found a store for you and he is your friend, but how do you know him or where do you know him from, she said facebook, I was dead and also keep laughing with my friend cos most painfully was the 3k he collected face to face from us, we said to ourself this guy has some balls and we keep on laughing and at the same time also very mad. If I had knew from the beginning that my sister and this man knew their self from fb, I wouldnt have even talk with him, I did it cos my sister told me she knew someone who got her a store and I trusted everything.

On the next day, my friend and I went to UBA at festac to seek a solution, they say there is nothing they can do, so we requested for statement of ACCt which we got and will be attaching here too.
So they said we should go to GTB Bank, we went there straight at festac there, they said there is nothing they can do, we need a police report and court order, so we said to ourself, we dont have that much time here in Lagos, when we get back to warri we will sort out things, but my dear people of Nairaland is there anyone who can help me so we can get this guy? He is going to dupe someone else. I will be loading all his pictures and all detail I have abt him.

Thank you guys for your time and help in advance. Mr moderator abeg help me move this to front page, I really need justice and you can help change the topic if you think so.

Such a disjointed story, though.
My first reaction upon reading this was to bring you and your sister together and have you guys flogged, before proceeding to track down the Humphrey guy.
In your write up, when your sister got angry with you for paying the 30k into Humphrey's account, wasn't that the point where you should have paused and find out what really is the connection between her and the Humphrey?

When your sister found out you wanted to pay a further 20k to Humphrey's account, she told you not to, but u still went ahead! Furthermore, Humphrey offered to payback your initial 30k, and you told him not to ""boarder" Chei!!! angry angry angry
Scammers are still in business because of people like you. I just can't begin to see the way your reasoning didn't allow you to begin to use your head after the very first red flag your sister raised when you sent the 30k.

Good luck in trying to track him down, though.
Could have said I felt pity for you over this predicament, but that would be a lie.

You wont understand,.my sister said this guy got a shop somewhere in lekki and he was an actor that she know him, I trusted my sister not the guy cos I know my sister too well but I never knew the connection was from fb..If I were to know it was fb connection, I wouldnt have went forward at the first place. You wont understand but thank you.

I still insist that after your sister got upset over the initial 30k deposit you made to the guy, that's when you should have made the effort to find out what's going on.
That you went ahead to make further payment of 20k, and told the Humphrey not to bother about refunding the first 30k even after your sister was against you making further transactions with him, leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
If Humphrey actually scammed you, he didn't have to put in much effort.

Good you have the details you just posted. It is a pity that such guy would end up destroying his life and they can get him cus I can see that his face is well known since you have met him in person and can easily recognize him. They can even get his face on CCTV of the bank of that date in question that he entered the bank.

Op, from the FB page where you lifted these pixs, can you confirm that the guy in question you met face to face is the same person you posted his pixs?

If yes, then you can have him arrested because from the people he is with and his family pixs, it will be easier to have him arrested.

Also, the same bank that he took you to that day, they can check their CCTV in order to have evidence of him.

Also, were you able to snap him with your phone camera the day you met him?
