By Beauty Ehimhen Despite elaborate efforts to sweep it under the carpet, the unholy alliance agreement between the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and Jide Omokore’s Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Nigeria Limited (AEDCNL) surfaced Sunday, on Twitter with the hashtag #ArrestOmokoreNow trending prominently. The deal helped parties in the agreement to swindle the country according to an investigative report by Sahara Reporters who uncovered the details of the deal that set Nigeria back by about $2 billion. Nigerians tweeting via the #ArrestOmokoreNow hashtag on Twitter called on President Buhari to order Omokore’s arrest based on the various damning allegations of massive fraud involving him and his Company. erunz: Jide Omokore is from Kogi state in north central Nigeria and he is a very close ally of Deziani Madueke and GEJ. I want to see him and Kola Aluko properly investigated and arrested for all the shady business deals they transacted with Deziani Madueke. All of them should be prosecuted and jailed if found guilty. |
