Heavy illegal taxes from the local OMONILE BOYS. And the traders have reacted which must have been spurned off from the resentment the Igbos have against The APC led government and their clamp down on MASSOB activities.

UPDATE: Alaba boys are chasing Yoruba Agberos and they are on the run. The police and army have arrived the are shooting in the air!

This is the official report from a newspaper

Lagos police, soldiers reportedly assault civilians, turn blind eye as rampaging area boys machete residents, loot shops in Ojo Alaba

Disturbing news reaching us has it that the whole of Ojo Alaba area of Lagos is on fire.

“What seemed like a campaign for elections of agbero union at Ojo Alaba, Lagos, has degenerated to (violence),” an eyewitness still trapped in the area said, Tuesday.

“Even with the heavy presence of the police and the army, the violence continues.

“The agberos are pouring into the streets looting and injuring people.

“A police patrol vehicle passed by, saw them wielding weapons but didn’t do anything about it.

“The military and the police are assaulting anybody they see with a camera or phone pointed at them or the scene.

“All the military personnel at the scene removed their name tags.

“I was almost injured by the hoodlums but I managed to escape, but I’m still trapped there.”

We call on law enforcement agencies to do the needful

Lots of area boys deserve to be shot.

I can't believe some people will take sides with them for looting, burning shops and assaulting people.

Many area boys are not even Yorubas and the agberos in that ojo alaba axis are from the southeast . Take a trip to any Lagos police station in the middle of the night and see the number of 12 - 15 year old kids ( orphans) who are arrested every night . Many of them sleep rough and the little girls survive via prostitution .
At a certain point in future the leaders of the southwest would have to call a council of all Yoruba nation to discuss what Is becoming more and more an humanitarian disaster in the SW.
The Lagos where I was born and lived all my life has become a lawless place where you cannot raise your kid .From A place where doors were never locked to a place where you have to scurry into your home at 5 pm .
