Does repentance not mean a turning away of sin? And it involve restitution eg if I stole a sum of money I should have to return it back to the owner and if I framed another human for a crime or committed a crime someone else is paying for, you have to reveal the truth, right.
Luke 3-8 -Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Luke 19- 8And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 9And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. 10For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
So, true repentance involves restitution if necessary,right.

I once heard of a woman who began the repentance process for an abortion before she procured the abortion itself but if one is truly repentant, you wont have gone ahead with the abortion.
Hebrews 10:26- For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Anyway for those who want to resist temptation, I think I found a way.
What did Jesus do when he went into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
He spoke the word of God.
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Yes,we need the word of God.The bible says-James 4:7-Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Christains-Hebrews 4:12-For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

So if you feel like getting drunk ,or stealing or something-say God words-
1 Corinthians 6- 9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Another example is if you feel tempted with lust then say God words- But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:28

It will help you fight against temptation. Repentance involves confessing and forsaking.

Who told you when you repent God forgives you? In Life there is Karma (what a man sows he rips) every man must rip what he sow in his next life ,where you start afresh with life not knowing the evil you committed in your previous life. if at that time you sow evil in your previous life another would that kind to you. eg When we see some people killed at a ripe age we wonder why will any one kill such a nice fine person growing up , we may not understand that Karma is in progress . So I urge everyone reading this thread be mindful of what you do

Okay, now on a normal day, I was raised as a Christian but wasn’t a strong believer. But God opened my eyes to the truth.
LOOK AT THE JEWS.
I believe their history can prove the truth. Prophecies relating to Isreal are coming true. Research it for yourself and you will find it is true.
An example of this is
Zechariah 12:2-. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
Open your eyes. Jerusalem has now become a cup of trembling to the people about like the prophecy says. The word of God is real so the God of Isreal is real.
So yeah,i believed
And there are signs and prophesies in the Old testament that clearly point to Jesus
John 3:14-And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

I have always been a morally upright person, so becoming born a gaining and adapting to the style wasn't a big deal, my major drawback is..... lust, I still find myself after fleshy lust.. really trying hard , but that's seeming my biggest challenge.

you must understand that lust is a personality and each time he comes around, you find yourself lusting. simple resist it in the name of Jesus.

Christianity is all about a NEW LIFE IN THE SPIRIT it has nothing to do with your being previously morally upright. It has nothing to do to your moral uprightness and easy adaptation into Christian life. you need to seek the spirit that gives Christianity its essence- the spirit that makes it AN EXPERIENCE. That spirit will heal your lust and your spiritual drawbacks. " not by power not by might but by the spirit". " by strength shall no man prevail." But I must commend your effort and I pray you don't get discouraged. Read Heb 12 : 1-4. Heb 10: 38-39. Eze 36: 26-27
