In the days of old, pirates were known as death traders.
A group of unscrupulous men who move from coast to coast,
raiding valuables and making money from other people’s sweat and endeavours.
In this case, we refer to the pirates of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Spawns of the Ikeja Silicon Valley (Computer village),
these are men who know next to nothing about the entertainment business.
Their Primary objective; sell cd’s to whoever can afford to buy.
The value of the content i.e. the intellectual property is virtually of no concern to them .
They are not concerned about what ends up with who, neither are they concerned about the all
negative impact of their actions on the society; and least of all, the  rights of the IP owners.
Oddly enough, we are now constantly aware of the fact that, whatever we work hard for, there are people
watching and waiting, always willing to take it away.
Various programmes and seminars have been introduced to tackle this menace, achieving but a fair impact.
Tackling these cd terrorists is seen by many as a futile endeavour. Can they be stopped?

@ asha 80
so you don't see a problem? That we have been living in silence with these people. Which i would say is the reason it took the entertainment industry this long to get to where it is today
