The Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, has approved N40m for the purchase of rams and cows as Muslims mark the festival of Eid-el-Kabir.

The governor said that the gesture was to cushion the effects of soaring prices of goods

Lalong, who disclosed this through his Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Yusuf Hawaja, said that his administration would always make the welfare of the citizens the priority of his government.

Hawaja spoke to newsmen after presenting foodstuffs and a cow to the Jos prison inmates and Aisha Mana Orphanage Home in Jos on Wednesday.

He said that as part of the tradition of government in the state, he was giving out some rams and rice for the Muslims to celebrate in happiness.

Hawaja said, “The Lalong administration will not relent until he achieves his goals of ensuring the welfare of his people. More good things will come and we will continue to render services to the people.”

workers in the state are crying for their salaries been owned them for months yet, this foolish man can gulp out 40million for rams and cows. Plateau wake up. The same people you are trying to please will turn around to kill your people in the villages.

The more you see the less you understand. Lalong I think should be from Mangu is trying to impress those who consider him a slave. Its quite appalling to say the least. When those merchants of death lay siege to his hometown he will understand what former Governor Jonah Jang has been fighting since. Christians simply don't learn from history. We will see what he will do for the Christians during Christmas.

I hate taken politics as religion. Play down religion and development people and ur state. Nigeria is more of religion and tribe policies than development. No wonder we kill each other and remain undevelop.
