I have listened to the radio, watched the television and read in the dailies about why IBB should never be allowed to rule this country again. Among other sins are his implication by the Okigbo report, the killing of innocent Gen. Mammam Vatsa and Dele-Giwa, and the annulment of June 12 !993 presidential election.

But nobody has mentioned the most sensitive and probably most important of all, especially as it affects Nigeria in global politics.

During his regime, I noted that he hardly travelled out of the country. And whenever he did, it was either for treatment or medical checkup in Germany. But his not venturing to the USA has been seen as a fallout of the Gloria Okon saga.

We do not need a president who will not be free to rob shoulders or interact with other world leaders. Babangida will be a diplomatic lame duck, as a result of which Nigeria will not be able to harness the economic opportunities available globally.

If the above is correct, then the press has a duty to educate the electorate on the evil of voting for any person in the category of people who are restricted in one way or the other from moving freely across the globe. In fact, none of the political parties who sincerely have the interest of the masses at heart, should present such a person as a presidential candidate.

Contrary to the belief of IBB’s cronies, Nigerians do not have short memory. What we have is retentive memory; the ability to exhume useful information at the most effective and appropriate time.

On my own pespertive, Ibb should not been given a room in Aso rock. The problems the nation is going thro were set-up, built and even practice by Ibb. my advice to Ibb is 4 him to use the money (ie) the 12 billions wing fall and do bix and create job for the youths. That will give him prestige than going 4 president. No space no vacate no office @ Aso rock for him and his men.

The man is greedy and will rather die and leave the money for his kids and grandkids to enjoy than to create jobs or make significant impact in peoples life. We are suffering from the adverse impact this man set on us.

@Odeku
   Thanks for the info.Funny that part never occured to me;the idiot never travelled to the USA and was probably the only Nigerian leader that never had audience with an American president(alongside his equally despicable successor{Abacha}).He the gods will destroy they first make mad.This summarises IBB's present re-incursion into the Presidential race.

IBB deserves to be' Queen' in gaol for the despicable crimes against humanity he
committed as president. He did nothing significant as Head of State/President -
fouled up the economy,restrained press freedom,corrupted the civil service,promoted
mediocrity in the armed services,tinkered dangerously with education,encoraged
strife and discord in the labor,unleashed poverty on us,catalysed the devaluation of the naira,
encouraged religious bigotry and nepotism,looted our money with reckless abandon and cancelled
(as the imp now puts it) the freest and most fair election in our nation's history.
Bloody @#$%&-pardon my language
