The difference between Muslim and Christian fasting is that one reveals its mood while the other doesn't. My question goes to the latter: to most or some of us who indulges on periodic fasting and prayers, how do you hide it from people knowing you're fasting without lying? Remember, mathew6v16 said: "When you go without eating, don't try to look gloomy as those show-offs do when they go without eating. I can assure you that they already have their reward".

not ready to eat now. what if we avoid periodic fasting? Don't u think DAT can help? cox I don't think there is a part of the bible dat specified when we should fast.

This is not what Jesus condemned. He condemned when you were not ask at the first place u just announce yourself.

The other example. A husband maybe fasting. How can the wife know? By asking of course. She prepares food. And husband said sorry i dont want to eat. She ask why? He has to tell her the truth. That doesnt means he has announced it. No. Samething. A wife is fasting and the husband wants to have her. If she did not tell him she is fasting. This will mk the man feels sad. But if the truth is said. Peace will reign. She can fast for months as long as it has been settled with her husband. God is not a God of confusion. The only person that should know if you are fasting is He who has come to tempt you to break it. Infact, it is not that person but Satan coming. Just like Jesus rebuke Peter. (Get behind me Satan) It was Satan that was rubuke not Peter himself. By telling the person, you have rebuked him. By forging another reason. You have spoil your fasting. Satan has succeeded.
