Hello readers, welcome to another Poll Tuesday on A Loco Viva Voce. On last week’s poll, I asked you what was the least amount you’ve given to a beggar and judging from the results, we need to try to be more generous. 56% gives twenty naira and 22% gives ten naira or less and also fifty naira. Let’s try our best to give more to society especially to those who are in dire need.

Today’s poll however, has less to do with giving and more to do with receiving. The question is “WHAT IS THE WORST THING YOU HAVE EVER DONE FOR MONEY”?

Last week, I wrote a post about Runs and prostitution and how desperate times call for desperate measures. So let’s be honest guys (both male and female). During those trying times when you were down to your very last with no hope of getting it from anywhere or anyone. What did you have to do to survive?

Worked for 10k per month.. Am the only one that will do the typesetting,Photocopy,buy fuel,On gen,Laminate,Snap Passport,clean....E no easy.

Played lead guitar in a fuji band. We stood for almost 7hrs no break. I regretted playin with d band cos I wasn't even enjoyin it. But d standing for dat long was annoyin

I did a 400Naira per day job for three days during my 100 level first semester break. It's not as if the money wasn't okay. But omo mehn, it was hell. I have to stand from morning till evening. Wahala!!!. I did another job in my second semester Long break, working in a potato chips production factory. I was to slice the potatoes, using the slicing machine,having to press the potatoes towards the blades and the blades cut my fingers a lot of times. It was 6k monthly. Everyday, I hated resuming.
All is in the past now. I am now a youth corp member with a good degree.

One I can't forget easily was joining three other guys to offload 600 bags of cement, it was #10 per bag. I got #1500 and worked till evening.

Not that I was hungry then (2006), I only wanted to Behind up like the other guys. I learnt a lot from there and understand what those labourers pass through.

That motivated me to choose Civil Engineering as profession and currently am about to finish my NYSC.

I had to be a mascot at children parties then, mehn!! Putting on Barney,Dora costume and dancing etighi,yahozee,alanta for hours is quite killing mehn!!. The heat was just too much for me...
*Rich kids dancing and happy but their Barney almost shedding tears while thinking of what to have for dinner*

In my js1 I caught frogs for a biology teacher to be used as specimen for WAEC biology practical examination. Come see me dey dive frogs like no tomorrow. Got my first hard earned 1k for the entire hustle
But now, the story is very very different....to God be the glory, great things he hath done
