So many questions about this Airtel Unlimited plan. Let me try to answer some.

1. Those using this plan on Blackberry OS10 (z10,q10) and even Android and modem Users, the access point (APN) you should create and set as default is " internet.ng.airtel.com "

2. Those getting the error that they're already on this plan: You cannot subscribe for the plan TWICE within a 24 hour period.
So if you've used 1 Hour Unlimited plan around 4PM, You will have to wait till 4-5 PM the next day before you can subscribe another 1 Hour.
If you can't wait, then you have the option of also subscribing 30 mins, 15 mins plans but they all can be done once a day.

3. Yes you can Hotspot it to other devices to run Windows Update, Antivirus updates or Upgrade your Phone OS and App downloads.

4. Speed concerns: Ensure your Phone / modem is set to 3G ONLY, not Auto. I've hit top speeds of 1.5 Mb/s. Torrent downloads all work.

There's also an Unlimited Airtel Night plan for 500=6 Hours or 200 (3 Hours ) Starts from 12 midnight to 6 AM:

Airtel Nigeria just recently launched a new data plan called the time or hourly based Unlimited data.
The data plan which is very similar to that of etisalat paygo but little bit expensive when compared to that of etisalat paygo data.

The new Airtel time based unlimited data plan is of 4 different categories and all with 1 day maximum validity period, which their main motive is to offer Nigerians Unlimited data based on time frame.

The airtel time based goes like this 5minute for N15, 10minute for N30, 30min for N90 and the last package is the 1hour plan for N180.

How to subscribe to the Airtel time based unlimited data
To subscribe to any of the 4 Airtel time based unlimited data plans, simply dial the code *439# and then reply with the number that corresponds with any of the 4 plans that best suits you, after which you will be asked to reply with 1 to activate the plan.

Remember that the new Airtel time based plan has a one day validity period, meaning that any unused time left will expire the next day.

It is not unlimited, even the 1hr of 180 naira is less than 500 mb.
Try to see the messages immediately after 1. 3, 3 and 4

i think it has to do with ur network pace, i personally downloaded almst a gigabyte within 30mins yesterday, though it was in the midnight
