why give for example 2000 Naira for 2GB and only 1 person would buy when it can be split and several people would buy...

I've called a number of times and some of them willfully drop the call halfway to avoid me cos its obvious they're aware of this data wipe matter making the rounds.

Hello guys, mine was also wiped off but I checked this morning to see that it has been restored though to me its still burning very fast. I have surfed the net for less than 30 minutes without downloads and 100mb is already gone. Well I lost it before and lost hope, so this seems more like a gift at the moment.

Just discoverd the weekly call plans have been scraped off, just 3 days left and one day

bro Dats not true...as am talking 2 u now...I have downloaded sum blue ray films and as I talk 2 u now...its just remaining 6.6gb i know d one u r talking about...its Airtel BB data plan...wen u use an Airtel BB subscription on a system or android,u will b 'double charged'...Dats y d 4gb u bought instantly turns into 2gb or even 800mb... but Dis is an android plan and it can b used on ur system...if in doubt try d 1gb @ #1k

Anybody that subscribed to this data plan is not doing him/her self any good. My 2gb data for N1.5k wasn't up to 200mb, after all the series of complain i did to different cc agent they didn't have any better ans to give. I rained abuses on them and promised them i will never allow even an enemy to fall for their tricks anymore. I still dey cry since yesterday till now

I even threatened legal action against them and and told the cca to be ready to provide evidence of my data usage cos i have valid court evidence to sue them for libel and scam. and she kept on thanking me for using MTN, Thank you , my left yansh!

What they are doing is what they did in voice. whereas, regular call rate is: 11k/sec. But when you buy that: N500 for N2000 plan, they charge you like 40k/sec.

Next time you call them, find out, what's their charging rate per kb, that is if the agents are aware. So, the caveat is, you don't get charged the regular rate.

Airtel was the one that started this crap, they wrote it in small print: 1.5k per kb, which is 50% more expensive. So, you'll think 2GB is 1.5k, but actually can be maybe: 500MB in true value or even lower. Check the T & C, they always write it there.

No free lunch here, thats where there's a series of bundle package. etc... it's all a game to them, and in the game, the house must win.
