Will you consider yourself married if you do a traditional wedding without the normal white (church) wedding

Yes, there is no biblical mandate that you must marry in church or be married by a pastor. We have just allowed our ourselves to be brain washed into thinking church wedding is compulsary. It certainly does not have any biblical basis.

@jobi rash
so you wont be bless by a pastor?

Tell me one's father who gives his daughter's hand in marriage and blesses the union by asking God seal it according to the scriptures is WRONG

Getting pastors' blessing is welcomed but heck, it is not a must, a pastor is a pastor,he can be truly anointed the day he marries you or be full of sin like the one who blessed my wedding only to call my wife months after proclaiming undying love (Catholic church somewhere in Somolu)

all pastors are crooks in his bible. only him and the PDP are going to the heaven they made for anti God, anti church and anti pastors like the lovely saint kunle.

kunle's truth would rather lead to having occultist, babalawos ordain a wedding than have tithes and offerings receiving churches and pastors  bless a wedding.  what  he forgot is that most churches world wide are licenced by countries to actually conduct weddings, birth and deaths registrations as part of their civic responsibilities to the states.

i trust you will be telling me there are no biblical basis for governments as if there are verses for nairaland, baptist,   pdp, computers, cell phones and televisions which he gladly use without looking for the biblical verses first.

i am all for family weddings and all that but you listen to kunle and his slow religious poison at your own peril.

Traditional marriage is the real marriage every other form is just making it official. As long as both parties parents give their consent to the union and bless the union, then every other form is just unnecessary ceremony and sheer waste of money.

Yeah! true talk!

The pastor can come to the venue to say his prayer and if no "Titled" pastor is there, is there no christian among the people available who can say a prayer? God is not peculiar about the pastor's voice but about anyone who can decree and believe what he says has been answered.

Also, the prayer of a pastor at the venue/alter as little or nothing to do with whether the union will last or not, what matters most is the couple's understanding and transparency to each other. There are several cases of alter wedding at the magistrate courts waiting to be dissolved ASAP while those who never stepped the alter last longer.
