This week, a mother of two daughters, 10 and 12, was arrested for allegedly abandoning her children in the business district of Scarsdale, 3 miles away from their home.  After the two daughters were bickering in the back seat, Madlyn Primoff had enough.  She pulled over and told the girls to get out of the car, and proceeded to drive away.  The 12 year old caught up with the mother, but the 10 year old was left alone.  A successful attorney, Madlyn is now confronted with authorities and the public questioning her parenting skills.

3 miles from the home and in a business district sounds dangerous to me. Some children sha? I hope she gets them back and not have to do jail time. I guess this is one good thing about spanking LOL. If her daughter's knew that they would get a hot slap if they kept runnng their mouths they would have stopped the first time she told them to. My mother would have not even have taken her hand off the steering wheel. She would have just used her head to head butt me or throw her bag that she carried everything in straight at my head.

The problem with that picture is that after a few hundred meters, she should have come out of her TEMPORARY MADNESS and drive back to pick them up.
also,i know many 10/12 yr old kids who are street wise and who would not have had any problem walking home together.

You are so right. It just seems that she just got fed up with the bickering teenagers. The thing though is a business district usually has a lot of traffic and it is probably not the best place for kids to cross streets or even hang out

i think she was probably overworked and just let things get out of hand. out of frustration. i mean if she wanted to leave her, she should have just done it for like 3 to 5 minutes and then pick her up, instead of leaving her there and going home. parenting is ever easy especially with those little kids.
