The Benson Idahosa University has announced on its website that it will on the 23 rd of October, 2015 hold a Special Convocation Ceremony for the award of Honourary Doctorate Degree in Divinity to the Founding President of Believers’ Loveworld Incorporated.
The event is scheduled to hold at the University Auditorium at 10am.


Pastor Chris is known for his multifaceted Christ Embassy church with a strong teaching and healing ministry.


It was recently revealed however that the flamboyant pastor secretly impacts the lives of several children through his InnerCity Missions for Children NGO said to cater for over 10,000 children in Nigeria (http://www.theinnercitymission.org/v3/)


Another laudable social work by the man of God is the commissioning of 95 solar-powered street lights on 10 streets of the campus of the Ambrose Alli University, Edo State, Nigeria.


It would be recalled that the A.A.U which incidentally is his Alma Mater recently conferred a honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc) degree on the BLW President, Pastor (Dr) Chris Oyahilome PhD.

Authorities of the Benson Idahosa University yesterday said the institution is conferring a Doctorate Degree in Divinity on the founder, Christ Embassy, Reverend Chris Oyakhilome at a special convocation.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ernest.P. Izevbigie who announced this in Benin City, Edo State yesterday described the recipient as a “man that is a beneficiary of God’s covenant with the biblical Abraham and his descendants.

While citing reasons for the award, the VC added ‘‘there are many striking realities between pastor Chris Oyakhilome and the Benson Idahosa University as pastor Chris while in Edo college, nurtured his Christian faith and became the president of the student Christian union and while on holiday, worked with Church of God Mission and therefore had the opportunity to work with the remarkable Archbishop Benson Idahosa.’’

“Pastor Chris is a son of the CGM ministry having had an encounter with the Archbishop, and has also earned God’s favour upon his life.”To start a ministry in my own opinion is a great feat and the favour God showed Pastor Chris in the growth of his ministry that made it the global phenomenon it is today is worthy of appreciation and that and a lot of other contributions to the kingdom qualified him for this honour, he said.”
