I dont have a problem with ethnic groups in the south south who dont want.to be part of Biafra but the truth is that a Niger Delta country will be as confused as Nigeria. Reason being that it will be made up of various ethnic groups with cultural and language differences just like Nigeria. The only thing that will be binding them is oil. The majority ethnic group will still dominate the minority and victimize them as we see in Nigeria. The day oil dries up, more confusion and trouble will spring up. Moreover, most of the Niger Delta ethnic groups are naturally lazy and therefore will lack the required manpower that is needed to drive their economy. In that case, surrounding countries (e.g. Biafra, Oduduwa and Arewa) will still dominate their workforce and economy.
Forming a Niger Delta country wont favour them.

It will work.
u can't predict a future of a country, because u ain't God.
Since we want Biafra, it is good for us to support any other region who don't want to be part of (rising sun) to succeed in there fight to have a country of there own.
The main thin here is for this scamm nigeria to be broken up.

As a Biafra supporter, I don't mind a Niger-Delta Republic. A Niger-Delta Republic and Biafra would be vet beneficial to each other and economic co-operation between each other would be wonderful. What I wonder is can Ijaws,Ogonis,Itshekiris,Urohbos,Anangs,Efiks etc who make this up, can they come together to decide on this country? There over 30 tribes in the SS, can they come together to decide on a country? I simply don't know. Another thing is what about the SS Igbos? The Delta Igbos, Ahoada Igbos, Etche Igbos, Omuma Igbos and Ikwere Igbos? Would they want to join their kith and kin in Biafra or Niger-Delta Republic? Many questions but no answers. If the SS cannot agree, then the best bet is to secede with Biafra until such a time they can agree. It is far better for all to work to leave Nigeria then decide what to do later

Biafra will be far worse. That will be total domination. Only Igbo will be more than 60% of the population of Biafra if south south join them.
That will be the end of south south tribes in less than 50 years.

if Nigeria with over 250 ethnic group can survive, why not Niger delta with only 30 ethnic group.
Note: There is no country in the world (US inclusive) with absolute unity.

Disagreement among nationalities in a country is normal.
As at today, some people in Texas in the United state are still asking for freedom to leave united state.

http://nypost.com/2015/08/31/texas-group-wants-vote-on-us-secession-on-ballot/

A group called the Texas Nationalist Movement fanned out to 31 cities across Texas this weekend trying to gather the 75,000 signatures they say they need to get the question of the state’s secession from the United States on the primary ballot next spring.
Texas is one of only two US states, the other being Hawaii, that were once internationally recognized sovereign nations, with diplomatic ties to other countries. Although legal experts said it would be unconstitutional for Texas to break away via a primary vote, there is still a spirit of Texas independence among many in the Lone Star State.

“What we are seeing, over and over, is this complete disconnect between the people of Texas, what they want, and what is going on in Washington, DC,” TNM President Daniel Miller told Reuters.

“The people of Texas don’t have anything against the United States, they are just tired of being governed by bureaucrats we didn’t elect pushing programs we don’t want.”

He compared Texas to Scotland, which narrowly defeated a proposal to secede from the United Kingdom last year, and Catalonia, which is pushing to hold a vote on independence from Spain this year.
“We are living in the era of the right of political self-determination,” Miller said.
But there is one rather big problem, according to T. Gerald Treece, a professor at South Texas College of Law in Houston and an expert on Constitutional Law.

I don't even know why Igbos are talking about Niger Delta republic. Igbos should only be concerned about Biafra, if Nigeria doesn't want to restructure.

If there will be two repiblics seceeding, then I will encourage the proponents of Niger Delta republic to start making their moves urgently, because once Biafra secedes, it will be triply difficult for NDR to do so on their own.

Of course, referendum will decide where the various ethnic groups will be. The only restriction is that Edo state will not be eligible to join Biafra.
I expect the Igbos and Igboids to join Biafra in such a referendum. I expect Efik/Ibibio/Annang to join Biafra.
Ijoids might be split between both nations

As i said before, i'm not keen about you people joining Biafra. The igbos in SS region are the only ones i'm keen about (if they are interested). The rest of you can go with Nigeria or whatever, no problem.

First of all if you are Igbo, I am ashamed of you. Secondly if you are not from Niger Delta then face your business and leave them to determine their future. Its non of your concern what becomes of them.

You missed my point. I'm not saying the South-South of over 30 ethnic groups cannot survive. They are surviving already. What I asked is can all of them decide to one country? Remember, we are talking of many ethnicities, some who don't even have anything to do with each other. If just one if these ethnicities decides it doesn't want a Niger-Delta Republic, there might be serious problems

Don't talk like an ignoramus. It's not the Igbo man that that has marginalised the Niger-Delta Man since the end of the war. So you mean that just Igbos can marginalise more than the entire North and Yorubas can? Even 90% of their oil is in the hands of Northerners but Igbo will be worse? Don't make me laugh. If you ask the Niger-Delta Man any bad thing that Igbos have done to them, the answer will probably be nothing

Even in nuclear families, there are differences and disagreements in opinions, let alone in an entire ethnic group.
