I just downloaded the latest version of blender 3D (64mb) yesterday... I opened it, i tried all i could to create smfn but it couldn't even understand anything cos it's so complicated...
I browsed for the tutorials still isn't helping and am very sure it's a great software... I need a someone to help me from the scratch am the novice of the highest order.

I tried using it too. No luck. But I've seen works done on blender and man, are they cool!

it's frustrating seeing the works and not being able to do anything.

First and foremost...latest version of blender is not 64MB...

Now, don't get discouraged when you start with blender(you will reach the stage of real discouragement later).

Before you jump into tutorials..try reading books and even if you must use tutorials, use the ones that treat blender from the scratch so that you can learn the basic controls and tools.


Dream big but don't try to run faster than your shadows...patience is key

After you've gotten the concept of the software(you'll know)..you can then start learning from tutorials...and do not make the mistakes of following them "do as I do" method...know the reason for each step and even figure a faster way of doing so..

Get registered into forums like "3D enthusiasts zone blender" here on nairaland and other great ones too..

Above all...decide if you really want to make 3D graphics and animations a passion...because I can assure you..It will require you sacrificing your time,money,fun, and others....And when you are willing...go for it like its all you have to learn...read, watch, do repeatedly.... Maybe one day you'll look back to this post you made and ask yourself.."How could I say blender was difficult"...*cheers and welcome to the community
