Oh Why ?: God's word has not been repealed, amended or changed and neither can it. What God said in the beginning is still relevant today as it was then. Where God said no in the generations of Noah, Joseph, Moses, Esther, Daniel, Mary, Peter, Paul etc. He still says no to it today, and where ever He said yes, it's still yes today. His dos has not suddenly become don't s, neither has His don't metamorphosed into dos. Why then are christians having a hard time differentiating good from evil? Why do we find it difficult doing the dos and avoiding the don't s?. Why are we trying ever so hard to amend or if possible repeal God's laws and commands, which where enacted long before we came to be, by the chief Judge of heaven in the council of the holy ones?. Why do we strive to fault the words of the commander- in- chief of the Universe, the Lord of hosts, whose words never fails nor can be changed?. Why do we seek to impeach or vote out of our lives the one who is the source and sustainer of it, by our own choices and actions?. This is unthinkable ! Why do we feel ashamed to identify with, proclaim and love the one who gave up everything so that we can live forever?. Why do we choose to fear men who are dust rather than God who is the Father and maker of us all and indeed all creations?. Why are we so careful not to offend men but careless and mindless to offend God?. Why do we place sex before marriage, lies before truth and deceit before honesty?. Why do we put pride before humility and hypocrisy before sincerity?. Why do we place hate, strive, envy and jealousy before love?. Why do we place worldliness before holiness, pushing righteous living to the background?. Why do we place resentment, anger and unforgiveness before forgiveness ?. Why are we trying to force a marriage between light and darkness?. A marriage forbidden by God himself. Do we not do this by living double lives, one christian and the other secular?. Are we no longer a chosen generation, royal priesthood and holy nation called out to be exemplary to the world ? Why are unbelievers finding it so difficult to differentiate between us and they?.Is it not because we behave like them?. Why are the children of light not shining for the world to see?. We are everywhere yet the blind are crying out for someone to lead them out from darkness. Why, oh why have we neglected our first love ?. Return quickly to your first love for the night is fast spent and the Lord and judge of all is coming to reward every man according to their works and ways. Shalom.
