Your problem is that you are comparing eaglets with the 2013 set and not their counterparts in this tournament.
The eaglets has the highest rate of conversion of chances in this tourney. What is the use of ball possession if you can't convert your chances.
Mexico had a jolly ride till now, their defence is not as good as you think
We scored Brazil by individual or defence error not team play nauh?
Just pray we have such luck again
@Femi4 even with discipline Mexican side?
I am optimistic we win!;
Don't get me wrong
If dey do not play as team,dominant in possession, then we gonna start to pray for lucky individual effort!
Did you remember classic and discipline Croatia side?

I presume that one of the reasons for the impermanence and indubitable failure to implicitly transits the sublime performance to the senior world cup is because of lack of steadfastness by homogeneous set of players.

we were hoping and maintaing a resolute fidelity on the previous U-17 lads to evovle to the U-20 world cup and win it, since they did absolutely well in the U-17. but they ended up being one of the commiserated teams in the tornament.

this is because they are now virtually deviod of thesame level of dedication and passsion of which they formally possessed during the U-17 world cup. they played the U-17 world cup with great commitment because they know that it was an unprecedented vantage of displaying their phenomenal talents to the world, and most especially to secure the attention and the induction into some prestigious clubs, to play and earn in the top league and clubs!
At this stage, they are ready to do anything just to record an impressive performance.

But onces they have succesfully achieved this objective, they begin to exprience a frivolous and a declining enthusiasm for the national team. they no longer put in their best, because of they have gotten want they wanted.

And aslo because of the saying that 'Nigeria is not worth dieing for'
If any detrimental situation betide them during national football matches, they will be forgotten without any indemnification for them and their families.
Nigerias praise and consider you when you are active and yeilding great results, but they desert you in the time of adversity.
And I predicate that such pedestrian mindset by Nigerians is one of the major deterrents to them.
Guy, you should author a novel

You mean a cross from Lazarus, nicely put into the net by a glancing header from Osimhen is not a team play?

You mean the Overhead pass from Osimhen to Michael is not a team play enough?

Its only one of the goals that can be attributed to individual effort/goal keeping error

We know how the story usually goes. See my boys in the grand finale. I wish say NFF fit just allow us (chelsea) borrow these boys till the end of the season on contract basis.

Why castigate him?
Everyone is chanced to air his view,don't tell me you knew not what he tries bring out from his post.He has only been formal,which I bet you could as well do better.You could chose to type in pidgin or any sort of.Once your point is clear.I want to believe there is nothing much special in what he had typed,so,to say.
BTW;
@Blueto keep developing your self,it might eventually be your uniqueness in person.But sincerely,we need not necessary have to be casual on this educative forum in the first place.So keep it up.

Hmn, if i know, what about those wey no know? U see, being a grammarian is no problem by me, i mean it's cool but when u are in a forum that houses diverse nationality & u go on to make ur comments using excessive vocabs & grammar, that's uncool. Of course u are entitled to ur comments & of course u make ur comments so as to be read by nairalanders from diverse nationality, in that case, u try to make ur vocabs explicit enough to everyone's comprehension. Although some use vocabs to make their comments, all in the name of getting likes that i guess brings food to their tables grin. In a nutshell, in a forum that houses diverse nationality, ensure or learn to use simple, meaningful & comprehensive grammar to convey ur comments to people in general. Infact, not only on nairaland & BTW, POC, that wasnt castigation, rather correction. wink
