question for theists.

If you . . . say, had a time machine, sort of, and you, happened to be beamed to ancient judea. while Jesus was about to be crucified, would you prevent that from happening? or would you stand by and watch? or would you just leave?

what would be the reasons informing your decision?

The crucifixion of Jesus christ is what God plan before the world began. There are many astonished miracle Jesus did that would've convinced the Jews that Jesus is Lord yet the Jews crucify Him, in fact when the soldiers came to arrest Him, peter cut the ear of one of the soldier, but Jesus restore it back, YET they went ahead and crucify Him.the crowd even chose Barabbas who is a criminal than Jesus who comit NOT a single sin.

The Bible speaks of “the hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised BEFORE TIME BEGAN” (Titus 1:2).

This is the reason you and I were created to have an unending relationship with God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and all those whom They would eventually bring to a glorified state ( Hebrews 2:10). Having the characteristic of love as Their prevailing attribute ( 1 John 4:cool, God the Father and Christ want to share this
godly bond with us throughout eternity.
As 1 John 3:1-2 says: “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed
on us, that we should be called children
of God! … Beloved, now we are children
of God; and it has not yet been revealed
what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”

You are a muslim, this truth is foreign to you.you find it strange that God wanted to have a special relationship with His creatures. In islam, how can one be save?

You obviously don't know what you are saying. First, you said it has been in the plan of Yahweh to come and die for the sin of humanity even before the world began. Secondly you confessed that according to this assertion, Yahweh forcefully made us play in his script that he had written before the world began.. Now you are spewing another set of BS. Are u this daft?

If God predestined our character before the world began, why does He then blame us when we sin?why does He punish us when He created us so in the first place?...is that not injustice?

Guys, guys, guys. Pls stop trolling. That's not the answer to the Op.

If I had a time machine to teleport me back. Not having the knowldge of what his dead will do for me, I would definitly stop it.
But knowing what I know now. I will cheer him all the way to Golgota knowing that satan will receive a blackyes soon.

Since you directed the question at Aithest,I may not have a preferable answer cause I'm not one,but I believe an atheist would consider your question quite dumb and condescending.

Why should an atheist who considers the bible a fairytale book filled with fables who does not for a millisecond give credence to the existence of Jesus based on both Historical and logical conclusions of his/her findings want to go a scientific expedition to stop a supposed time that is supposed to be about the crucifixion of someone they don't believe exist.

Despite not being an atheist myself,it's quite insulting,It's just like when the Christian faith is attacked blindly.

Just my thoughts which may be stupid but they remain my conclusions.

evil people are predestined to serve the purposes of God through their evil will, However, they still possessed free will and would have done evil under any circumstances. So, the Bible indicates that God placed them in history to fulfill His purposes, knowing that they would do evil. God did not cause them to do evil, since God is not the author of evil. James says not to blame God for temptation:

James 1:13
Let no one say when he is tempted, "I
am being tempted by God"; for God
cannot be tempted by evil, and He
Himself does not tempt anyone.

Did Jesus made a mistake in chosen judas among His twelve? NO, Jesus indicated that He chose the apostles, including the one who would betray Him. Even Judas,as a worker of evil, was fulfilling part of the redemptive purpose of God. Luke, in the book of Acts indicates that evil Herod and Pontius
Pilate, who condemned Jesus, were serving God's purposes.
Acts 2:23
this Man, delivered up by the PREDETERMINED PLAN AND FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men
and put Him to death.

The godless men are serving the purpose of God.this men will still chose evil because of their freewill,

1 John 3:8
the one who practices sin is of the
devil; for the devil has sinned from
the beginning. The Son of God
appeared for this purpose, that He
might destroy the works of the devil.
