So today, I figured I'd share pancake recipe. It is a snack that can be enjoyed by everyone, young and old. A bite will have you begging for more. Yeah yeah, I know it's filled with some fattening stuff we don't want but hey! one relapse is not so bad, is it? Even if it is, we can always hit the gym work out and simply burn off some of those fat, yeah? *Grinning mischievously*
Moving on, I wanna start with the plain pancakes then share other varieties in subsequent posts.

So lets get down to it.
Baking flour.......4 cups
Sugar.................1 cup
Salt..................1 level tablespoon
Eggs.................2
Milk.................2 tablespoons
Nutmeg............like a pinch or two
Water
Vegetable oil or any cooking oil of your choice
Fine meshed sieve
Frying pan

OK! First sieve the flour to remove any unwanted substances in it. Measure in the sugar, salt, milk and eggs then add water. Mix them together to achieve a consistent paste. The paste should not be too thick or too watery. It should have the consistency of paint, you know, paint used for buildings. Be sure that there are no tiny tiny dry flour balls in it. To get rid of the balls take time so what I do is that once I achieve the desired consistency, I pour the paste into the sieve and all the tiny tiny dry balls dissolve. Voila! Then I add the nutmeg.

If you want to sieve the paste like I do, do not add the nutmeg before you do so. This is because some of the nutmeg particles are going to get caught in the sieve thereby costing you some of the nutmeg flavour so add it after you are done with sieving.
Pancakes are not fried with so much oil otherwise, it will get soggy and nobody wants to eat a soggy pancake. So pour in very little oil into the frying pan and move it round to cover the base of the pan. Measure in some of the batter with a cooking spoon or a cup and move it round the pan so that it spreads out. Fry in medium heat for about 45 seconds and flip it over and fry till it turns golden brown in colour. However, you may want to leave it to darken a bit more if you like then remove it from the fire.

Pancakes can be served with honey, hotdogs, pap, tea, juice, peanut butter, fruits or whatever catches your fancy.
So there you have it, try it and testify!

That's exactly how i make mine (minus the egg and nutmeg is not all the time) Thanks Op, you took me back to when I used to make it for my family almost every week. Will definitely be making some later this week.

Yuck! That's how my mum used to make it, she used to add chunks of fish too. She used to deep-fry it as if she's frying plantain. That's not pancake anymore tongue
