The only thing that will make a believer to
stand the test of time is the word that is in
him. When you have the word the devil will
always be afraid to touch you because he
knows that you cannot be move. The words you know are what will sustain you in times of trial, even your persecutor will testify of it.

In Colossians 3:16 we are meant to understand that we should always “let the word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in
the hearts to the Lord.”


From the above scriptural passage, we
have been highlighted with what we need
to always do if the word of God will dwell in
us; we are told to teach and admonish one
another, sing hymns and spiritual songs.

How to allow the word of God to dwell in us:

1. Study the word (Bible) of God daily: As I earlier stated, the word you know is what will defend you in time of trouble. When you are void of the word of God in you, it will be very tough for
you to challenge the devil when he surfaced with his trouble of life. “Study to show thyself approved unto God…” 2 Timothy 2:15.

2. Meditate on the word: It is one thing to study and another thing to meditate on what you have studied. For the word you read to have
a root deep down in your heart, you need to meditate on it at all time. “This book of the law shall not depart from thy mouth; but thou
shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest to do according to all that is written
therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8.

3. Preach the word: Preaching makes believers to be strong on their journey to heaven. Whenever you preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, you wax stronger and stronger in your journey. “Preach the word; be instant in season; reprove, rebuke, exhort
with all long-suffering and doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:2.
