Like I always said, it is mainly the never-do-wells that are killing themselves over this IPOB biafran hustle. These misguided youths personally have nothing, hence they dont really give a damn about the trillions that other Igbos have in investments all over Nigeria. No comfortable Igbo man can be foolish enough to subscribe to the preaching of hate and violence against other major tribes, knowing well that Igbos would be the ONLY ONES to lose trillions in investments when the opponents reciprocate. If there is any tribe that needs the unity and peace in Nigeria most, it is the Igbos because we have more than 70% of our investments and wealth outside the south east. Instead of forming an alliance with all other proponents of regionalism (SS, SW & parts of the NC), these guys are busy burning bridges and creating enemies for the well meaning Igbos. Obviously, the never-do-well IPOB guys simply want to drag everybody down to their level under the dubious guise of securing 'freedom'... and I ask, freedom from what? 73 Likes 11 Shares |

I have stopped to take these so called biafra agitators serious when i had a face to face encounter with them at Onitsha - Asaba expressway during the weekend as i was shuttling the route from lagos to Benue. The faces i saw there was so terrible and horrible,there and then i understand that the reasons for their protest are not far from hunger, lack of opportunities, hopelessness and learned helplessness, which is to me is not peculiar with the Igbos. This agitation is not even popular among the Igbos as the IPOB boys will make to believe. It is a course that is mostly championed by the jobless & uninformed indigenous youth. You'll be surprise that if the referendum is held amongst the Igbos, they will get the lower percentage of support for biafra. I used to wondered why my Igbo friends and relatives in real life does not support this agitation whereas on nairaland it seems to be a national anthem, but my encounter at the Niger bridge has cleared my doubts. 57 Likes 1 Share |

So either way you look at it, the govt has failed them woefully.Biafra or any protest whatsover is usually championed by the oppressed. While our leaders jump out of Nigeria for any slightest headache, Biafra is for that woman in labour that has no access even to a quack nurse in the village While our leaders are laundering money to and fro Nigeria, Biafra is for that family that cannot afford 3 square meals a day While the children of our leaders are in the best schools abroad, Biafra is for that family that have no access to ordinary clean drinking water Of course Biafra seeks to address the plight the poor & the oppressed I would've bn surprised if it were otherwise. Even after the referendum which it is assumed most Scots voted against secession, their leader is bent on pulling Scotland out of the British union. Am sure you don't know about this. Also have it in your mind that this is year 2015 and not 1967, so many things has changed. In 1967 Nigeria took Biafrans unawares and fired the first salvo. Remember then that arms and hardwares were only in the hand of the military, but today you need to see the type of guns that armed robbers carry. You asked who will feed the Biafran... Lolzzzz Wait until then. But don't forget that these Biafra agitators are not asking for war. They protest armless but Nigeria is shooting at them... Too bad and funny.
