Please help my HP Pavilion G7 is at the verge of crashing, anytime I on it , it will show Hard disk fatal error: press enter to continue with windows or f2 for hard disk test. go get an external hard disk and copy all important file b4 d worst will happen

Hard Disks fail, that's a thing of life. You want to go ahead and backup all your data as the poster above me mentioned, and then install a new HDD or SSD.

You are right. The hard drive of one of our staff members that we support (IT) crashed today while she was in the middle of her work and the lady almost went beserk. I was assigned the ticket (IT issues come to our office as tickets which are assigned to we IT specialists and we take care of them and close the ticket out). I took her computer down to our office, did some troubleshooting and found that her hard drive had failed. Using my toolbox, I uncoupled her computer and replaced her hard drive with a known-working one from a tower machine and re-imaged her machine. Even though her computer was now up and running, she was hysterical over her data loss, some of which were very important she had not backed-up. There is a technology used for the retrieving of filesfrom failed hard drives but it costs between $1500 to $2000 and it is not something my boss would want to consider doing because our office provides network drives for all staff members and we regularly remind all staff members to backup their files regularly to their network drives.

It is important we back-up our hard drives regularly. I have a laptop i've been using since 2012 which has a lot of files and data and i'm getting an external hard drive soon to back up my data to prevent sudden data loss.

Does it mean that there is no remedy unless backing up my files.

get an external hard disk, prefarebly seagate 500 GB wont be more than 8 to 10k (naira) and back up all ur files, that was what i did

I studied computer engineering from uni. Can i work as an IT specialist without CCNA cert?pls, i realy want to work as an IT support or network engineer.

You really need the CCNA certification if you want to be in IT, especially more so if you are going into network engineering. CCNA is equivalent to a WAEC certificate in the field of network engineering. Many network engineers out there have the CCNP certification.

Simply partition your hard disk when one partition fails it won't affect the other then u can reinstall ur operating system. Ensure you can access your files from other partitions
