26 year old twin sisters, Owami and Olwethu Mzazi from Vosloorus, South Africa recently got married to the same man, 51 year old Mzukiseni Mzazi.

When interviewed by a South African magazine, the sisters said they’d always known they’d marry same man as they have shared everything else together since they were born…
“We have always done everything together. We share everything. That is how our grandmother raised us. So when we decided to marry, we said any man that wants to marry one, will marry the other” Owami told Drum magazine.

I am but we have different tribes too, hence I can't know everything as far as some things are concerned. Those, I believe, are Zulu. I'm Xhosa.

You are still South African just like i am Nigerian. Doesn't matter if you're Zulu, Xhosa, Yoruba, Ibo or Hausa. Right?

That is correct, but you asked me to give an explanation on something I have no knowledge of & my answer to you is, maybe that's how it's done in their culture. IDK. Same way when that picture of those newlyweds who were praying for each others genitals, some of you here didn't understand what was going on & said it must be a "Yoruba thing". I feel the same way about this picture. IDK if it's part of THEIR culture or just weirdness. I simply do not know.

About that picture?
It isn't a cultural thing even though the married couples were Youruba's. At least you can depict that from their costume. Things is, the Compere of the ceremony may have suggested they do that. Most times such gestures could be encouraged by the MC just to make the whole ceremony more interesting. grin
It really isn't a cultural thing. The same goes for the twins who married the same man. Perhaps it was a decision they both made and they are ready to live their lives that way. Perhaps maybe the twin sisters are inseparable. smiley

At least you know about it.
She claims she knows nothing.
Unfortunately, she had the opportunity to be a good ambassador of her country and then she comes up from a tribalist angle.
How i wish Africans could see themselves as one and the same.

#Say no to tribalism and Xenophobia.

Twins marrying the same man isn't commonplace, but it happens.

Their life. Their choices.

Neither is he complaining, so what's the fuss all about?
