Would you run for President?

Malawians are going to the polls to elect a new President and members of parliament. There are seven presidential candidates contesting the election.

This time around an unusually high number of young people between 22 and 30 yrs old had initially filed papers to the electoral commission stating their intention to be elected as president, but due to lack of funds, most of them were not able to progress to the next round.

Most electoral processes require candidates to meet certain requirements in order to stand as a Presidential candidate. Do you think there are too many barriers preventing people with potential from putting themselves forward?
