It is no longer at ease with importation businesses in Nigeria due to recent CBN dollar policy. Its obvious we are import dependent nation due infrastructural decay in manufacturing industry. The present CBN dollar policy has opened another cankerworms for law enforcement agencies that took advantage of desperate situation of importers to charge as much as $1000 per $10000 to cross them to avoid cash seizure. The odds is against our economy because many importers are closing shop. The cabals in BDC are not helping out because of their interest. They even dictate on the policies.
SOLUTION: The final solution to address insatiable high dollar demand was to formulate policy that will eliminate dollar as our medium of exchange. let CBN make rules for genuine importers to lodge all the monies they need for travelling with their banks in our local currency, issue receipt of such cash lodgement that will make them to cash it with local currency of destination country. With the above solution, we can cut off the service of BDC and their cabal masters, because importers do not need to change their money to dollars again before travelling.
