I created this thread just to educate nairalanders about some scammers posing as MTN, ETISALAT, GLO AIRTEL data re-sellers, they promise to sell 5GB @ 1500 naira all in the name of promo.

I was once a victim, my data was exhausted and I was browsing through nairaland and I saw the advert, contacted the guy, sent credit to him but I never got the data , a closer look at the advert again, I couldn't believe I fell for it, who will give sell such a huge data plan at such a low amount, awuf dey purge belle

These guys are on the rise, you are likely to see them at least 1 out of every 3-4 thread (might not be too right), I know the moderators are doing a good job by banning them, but each time they are banned they quickly open new accounts and probably with another phone number too.

So the moderators can actually help us to educate some other people that might fall prey to this guys by putting this thread on the front page.

I will also post samples of some of their pictures

If you come across an advert like this or something similar,nairalanders please don't patronize them, it's a scam !

Not everyone will have the boldness to report them or talk about their dubious acts, this is just one out of many people that will still fall prey to their gimmicks.

Before patronising any self- acclaimed data seller try to do a little research, you can copy the phone number he/she uses for advert and search on Google. hope this helps.

Well I done the same type of transaction with some guys (nairalanders) here as well and they were all faithful and true to the bargain, I never anticipated that this was going to be different

Yeah I did mention the price which also lured me into patronizing him in my opening post but other people also need to know (be enlighten) about these guys because I keep seeing their advert everyday at different sections on NL

This guys will never stop, I saw this today, they have just scam another nairalander

This same guy just scammed me now. He flipped his skin and changed is number to 08104163459. I sent him 1700. To send me the credit became history
