] Nigeria is an illegal entity: we were all forced to become Nigerians against our will. A British opportunist called Frederick Lugard came down to West Africa, formed an Army called the west African Fronteer Force. He then used this Army to go on a conquest mission to kill, rape, pillage and subjugate our forefathers and force them under his control. He then amalgamated everybody in 1914 without asking the native people of the land if they want to be together. Biafra is a way to rewrite this evil history.

] In 1919, Lugard, having successfully looted the resources of the indigenous people of west Africa whom he bastardised with the name 'Nigerians' returned home to Britain a stupendously rich man and was honoured with the title "Lord". The Nigeria he left behind then became a theatre of blood letting, killings, nepotism, tribalism, ethnic supremacy, economic stagnation, exploitation, sectarian strife, civil war and downright bigotry of the highest order. Needless to say that Nigeria is a failed British experiment that cannot work. The answer is to divide Nigeria into smaller units that can work rather than a huge unworkable conglomerate. Nigeria has never worked as a nation.

] The 3 main ethnic groups, Igbo/Hausa-Fulani/Yoruba don't like each other. So why are they in the same country for?

] Since 1960 to date, Czecoslovakia has divided into Czech and Slovak Republics, Eriteria has split from Ethiopia, South Sudan from Sudan, East Timor from Indonasia,Croatian and Bosnia from Yoguslavia. More than 10 countries broke out of the USSR. America seceded from Britain in 1776 and Scotland almost seceded from Britain last year. So anyone saying that all countries are 'indivisible' is an unrepentant lier.

] It is the inalienable right of people to decide who they are. 'Nigerian' is just a British tag imposed on us all. Biafra is a way for us to express our right to self determination.

] I believe that Biafrans can build a better country for themselves than they can in Nigeria. How can our future be decided in the strange place called Abuja? Our future should be discussed in Enugu, Portharcourt, Asaba or Calabar. What are we doing in Abuja?

] Biafra is the only way to return to true federalism, regionalism and resource control. Let's not kid our selves. The North will rather commit 'harakiri' than allow federalism or resource control happen in Nigeria. I'm an Anambra man, we are oil producing and have huge gas reserves. I want to control my resources same as I want Ijaw, Ibibio, Oron, Urohbo to control whatever is on their lands. Resource control is a right not a privilege.

] Islamic fundamentalism: personally, I have nothing against Muslims. I believe that everyone should be free to practice their religious beliefs as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. Biafrans are probably 99% Christians and traditional religious worshippers. We cannot afford to be in the same country with Boko Haram or Islamic terrorists. We are risking not only our lives but the lives of our unborn generation. These people are hell bent on killing us, so why must we with them in the name of 'one Nigeria'? Biafra offers us the opportunity to police our our borders and check the rise in Islamic fundamentalism which will one day engulf us all if we stay in Nigeria.

] The unity of Biafrans has been destroyed by Nigeria. The divide and rule tactics that Northerners have used since the end of the war to disorganise us so they can exploit us politically and economically is the symbol of Nigeria. Brothers no longer know themselves because they have been led to believe that we 'one Nigeria' when all indication is that we are far from it. Biafra will end 'divide and rule' and Forster unity.

] Fellow Biafrans and lovers of freedom, the name 'Nigerian' has a very bad connotation to it. Those of us who have had the opportunity to visit other countries have sad stories to tell when we came back. It is not until you travel out that you will find out how bad being a Nigerian is.Saying you are a Nigerian in most countries, you are automatically branded a criminal and terrorist. Presenting that green passport makes you a marked man. I'm a Christian Igbo man, I have no connection to Boko Haram or terrorism. But the fact that I'm a Nigerian makes me a 'suspect' wherever I go. Biafra is one way to separate the wheat from the chaf. Biafra is the one way for us to extricate our selves from the pariah name that Nigeria has become. Biafra is a opportunity to shed the colonial identity tag placed on us by the White man that has since become a curse.

] Biafra represents a new beginning. A chance to start afresh to define selves. We must set aside the dark history of Nigeria and embrace the positives that maybe in Biafra. Everyone eventually has to make their own way in this life and Biafra Is the only way to finally shed that colonial tag called 'Nigeria' and embrace a new beginning.

Biafra is not an Igbo word. Don't let the "Bia" confuse you. Biafra is the name of an ancient Kingdom that roughly covered parts of present day southeast Nigeria and South Cameroon.
