She clapped her hands and continued like a street trader ''girls, he tapped that thing so bad I walked out with two left legs!''

''Wow!'' someone yelled.

''He chopped the moimoi and chopped the leaf join…''

''Meaning? I'm sorry but you lost me there'' Ebube said.

''Don’t be a dulling girl!'' Belinda yelled.

Then Ebube looked at her and frowned ''like really girls, how does a guy chop the leaf to join the moimoi? Belinda, if you know tell me''

Then Belinda looked around the room with a confused look on her face. Truth be told, she had no idea what Natasha meant by that. In that second, the room was quiet. Natasha was watching her while Ebube was looking at both of them.

''Pray tell me'' Ebube yelled.

Natasha rolled her eyes and replied in a small voice ''the secret things belong to the Lord our God…''

Then Ebube began to laugh and Belinda joined in. Once Ebube was done, she announced ''you know what this means right? It didn’t happen girl. No one was ringing your bell. No one was scratching your back and no one was eating any moimoi''

Then Belinda burst into another round of laughter and Natasha looked like she would cry. She opened her mouth to say something then shut it again before yelling ''sure it did happen. But you didn’t let me finish''

''No. Why don’t you tell me how a man eats the leaf along with the moimoi. I'm talking sex wise now''

''I can't tell you for its better experienced. Would you like to come with me next time? Kenneth likes to play team tag with two ladies…''

''Wow!'' Belinda yelled.

Belinda Okoro, Natasha Edwards and Ebube Nwadialu had always been good friends right from their secondary school days. The trio met at boarding house and had remained firm friends from that date. Now they were in their 3rd year at the university and nothing had changed. Belinda Okoro was a bubbly girl. On the day the girls first met, she was the first to walk up to Natasha and Ebube then she asked them to stop crying like babies.

She had always been that sort of person. She was easy to talk to and she laughed a lot. She was the sort of person that would say something and get away it but if you said the same thing, people would think you were rude - sort of like Joan Rivers. She was the youngest of the three by a year but she was very intelligent. She was also strong not so much physically but emotionally.

She had a dimple on her chubby cheeks and another joke right up her sleeves. In addition, Belinda had always struggled with her weight. She was not really fat, but she had always been on the big side. She used to be worried about it as a teenager, but the older she grew the less of an issue it became.

Of the three girls, Belinda was the most privileged. She came from a wealthy family, but she was very humble. She was born in the States so it was quite common for her to go on summer breaks which she detested by the way. Her parents were medical doctors and they spent a good number of years in Texas before they decided to return back to Nigeria and set up their hospital.

A lot was expected of Belinda and her younger brothers. For starters, her parents expected her to study medicine abroad. However, the young Belinda had something else in mind. She quickly established herself as a rebel right after her JSS 3 examination. She removed herself from the science class and decided to join Ebube at the pure arts class. Natasha was a science student who dreamt of nothing other than working as a civil engineer.

‘’You will repeat SS1!’’ her father thundered. ‘’You will repeat this class and this time, I will ensure you sit in the science class. If you are not careful, I will take you out of that school and you will become a day student! You must take physics and chemistry if you want to become a doctor’’

‘’But I don’t want to read medicine’’ Belinda yelled. ‘’I don’t want to be a doctor’’

Then she ran out of the room before her parents could say anything else. For the next minute, there was silence before Dr Okro went loco. He sighed deeply before giving her the usual line Nigerian men loved ‘’you see your child?’’ he asked his wife.

‘’She is now my child abi?’’

‘’Oh she is your child. I am talking to her and she is running away like we are still abroad. Is this Texas? How many years on and she is still displaying that oyibo nonsense’’

‘’I will talk to her tonight’’ Mrs Okoro whispered. Then the pair looked into the distance and kept quiet.

Unfortunately the high-handed Okoro's didn’t consider the most important thing. It didn’t occur to them that Belinda had aced all her papers. Her least grade was a C which she scored in biology. Everything else was on her result was either an A or a B. It was indeed an irony.

That was a long time ago and Belinda would continue with her art class. She was as stubborn as her parents. She would go on to defy her parents by choosing to pursue her tertiary education in Nigeria. Her parents would kick a fuss, call pastors, aunties and uncles but Belinda would remain unperturbed.
