The Akwa Ibom state Government today 25th November, threw a massive party to celebrate Akwa United F.C victory over Lobi Stars of Benue in the just concluded federation cup final, which held last Sunday 22nd November, 2015. The Akwa Ibom champions were welcome back home in a grand style by the Government and its citizens. The event was covered live by AIT, AKBC TV, etc. The players are all smiling back home as they were given cash reward by the state government. Meanwhile The former governor of the state Senator Godswill Akpabio who was at the stadium last Sunday to cheer the players to victory was rumoured to had given them 300,000 cash reward each. This massive welcome party took place at the popular Wellington bassey road, just few blocks away from the state government house. LiveFromNaija team was on ground and here are photos from the event.
