Three young men identified as Ayoola Awodile, 25, Sodiq Oyedele, 19, and Biola Akinwande, 18, have been have been ordered on Wednesday to be remanded in prison custody by a Magistrates’ Court in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The court ordered the remand of the trio following their being docked on an allegation of raping a girl of 17 at 2.00pm of November 22 at No. 29, Oke-Atan Street, in the same town of Ile-Ife. Wednesday remanded three accused persons- Biola Akinwande, 18, Ayoola Awodile, 25, and Sodiq Oyedele, 19, docked for allegedly raping a-17-year-old girl. The prosecutor, Cpl. Ronke Badmus, told the court that the accused persons committed the offence on Nov. 22 around 2:00 p.m. at No. 29, Oke-Atan st. Ile-Ife.

The prosecutor, Cpl. Ronke Badmus stated that the three accused persons committed the offence in conspiracy with one another using toy and other dangerous weapons to threaten their victim and have carnal knowledge of her contrary to Section 357 and punishable under Sections 86 and 516 (1), (2) of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Vol. 11 of the Laws of Osun State 2003.

All rapists are both cowardly and uncultured. They go into rape because they lack the guts to approach ladies in a civilized manner. They need deliverance and education. Shame on them!
