The undergraduate student Nkiruka Anthonia Ikeanyionwu who was killed during the recent Biafra protest in Onitsha is to be buried this week. The 20-year-old Nkiruka was a 200-Level student of the Federal College of Education(FCE), Umunze in Anambra State. Her funeral rites will begin on Tuesday, 8th December 2015 with a Christian wake-keep at Amaolu village, Adazi-Nnukwu Aniocha LGA in Anambra. On Wednesday, the funeral service will hold after which she will be interred immediately.

If this Biafra agitation is about people dying, then it is not worth it.
1967-1970 was a period many Nigerians died and the key players hardly lost anything.
Now again the blood bath has started and yet again the key players and families won't even lose sleep while some brainwashed ones will just be dying for nothing.

may God not let this fate befall us. the truth is when people declare war on a country, there will be collateral damage in the battle. those who beat the drums of war should be ready to dance the dance. it is a pity. but there are more civil way to achieve a biafra if the igbos truly want. Gandhi didn't need violent protest to liberate India. even more recently scotland. for those who may say the protest was peace, it is a blatant lie as confirmed by nwazuruike. I sincerely hope we have learnt something from violent protests. may God keeps.

I register my disapproval of violence against peaceful protesters! We are greater than this! Even if we want Igbos to stay in Nigeria, the only way is to unite them and listen to their grievances genuinely and criticize nonsense when they demand nonsense.

Violence breeds bitterness. You can't kill or shed blood to keep the nation as one and expect unity!

If the Igbos genuinely want to leave, they can an they have a right to. Nigeria is not a do or die affair. We must learn to listen before we criticize. From South to East, they have a genuine reason to be angry with Nigeria just like every other region. Nigerians all over have been cheated since independence. It's just that sectional movements won't help but if the Igbos want out, they have a right to!

i was a youth corps member in the north when buhari lost the 2011 elections, so many of my colleagues were killed, wounded or their lodges burnt with all their belongings. so many female members, most of them yorubas were raped on the streets, slaughtered like rams and their corpses burnt in broad daylight. we might as well protest and die in the process than go up north to teach their children and face such experiences. any life that doesn't have something worth dying for is not worth living. biafra or a willing death. after anybody who has been destined to die in a particular circumstance must die in it. her time has reached and mine might be next. God gives, God takes. God is great.

If you know there is always a price to pay in every struggle why didn't you pay the price she paid?

The question you should be asking is:

Who is doing the killing? Who came down to the east from 1967-70 to kill millions? Who is shooting unarmed protesters? The issue of Biafra has always been a peaceful agitation. It is Nigeria that brings violence into the issue of Biafra. A young has been killed by the very people who are paid to protect her. This is how Lugard created Nigeria, by killing people. This how 'one Nigeria' is maintained, by killing people. Funny thing is that we didn't kill each other when there was no Nigeria. But since Lugard created Nigeria millions have perished. So what is the point of Nigeria?

No Biafran has ever declared war on Nigeria, not even Ojukwu. It is Nigeria that's has always been the one to bring war.
