Humans generally loved to be heard so it isn’t different in romantic relationships and most of us think our partners aren’t in-love with us because they simply can’t listen to us.

Relationship coach Bruce Muzik gives couples tips on how to be a good listener to your partner with these 4 tips.

1. Be responsive to each other’s talk: Simply nod your head, words like ‘uh huh’ and ‘that makes sense’ would work in this case.

2. Avoid multi-tasking: Divided attention never works in communication because you’ll never be able to focus on either of them well. If you can’t do that excuse your partner and focus one, then when you are done, put your attention back on them.
