My fellow Anambrarians where do we go from here?,What is happening in our dear state especially in Awka this recent times,is our state really highjacked- or taken over by gun men?,are we really safe, should we call for state of emergency ? Or should we continue living in fear?,what do the future hold for us?,What do you think our goverment should do to stop all this attack after attack of recent assassine, murder, kidnapping, road blocking, shooting every time,bank-robbing here and there and most importantly the recent taking over of our cities especially Awka by armed robbers, kidnappers etc which could last for hours without any intervention from any where.Who do you think that we should be blamed for all this things, should it be our force?,the goverment?,or the people. The reason why i raise this issue is that one day we will wake up and heard that our leader even the governor have been kidnapped or assassined which can happen if nothing serious is done fast

Men , i cant believe that this could be happening in Awka. These hoodlums had turned the city into   juarez[mexico} or to say the kidnapping  capital of Nigeria.
Once again, this shows that Nigerians can only be controlled with iron hand, and i believe that the only way to stop this menace is to re-organize the BAKASSI boys.  angry  .Its obvious that the police cant check the situation neither do nigeria have the technological resource to deal with it.

How are you sure these robbers are not mostly ex-bakassi boys? Once you show people that wealth can lie at the barrel of a gun, they will pursue it to an ominous end, as happened to many ex-PDP thugs now masquerading as militiants in the Niger Delta.

Ok, if you are the chief security officer of the state, how would you tackle the problem? Even the police couldnt withstand the fire power of these hoodlums.

Re-introduce Bakassi and these guys will leave town immediately.

We should focus on what works best in any given situation. Trying to appear democratic or trying to copy the West even when the issues are very unique and peculiar to our environment is a waste of time.

If Bakassi cannot be called in then the state should invest in reliable cameras that could easily pick up the faces of these guys or allow innocent and law abiding citizens of Nigeria to carry small fire arms since the government cannot prevent the criminals from having them.

We have to be mindful of extra judicial measures. Bakassi boys today, Okija Shrine tommorrow. Where does it stop?

Since the government is unable to provide reliable western security measures to protect the people, then they shld opt for the traditional means which have proven to be effective.

I think you are right about the Bakassi boys, for me they are the only people which i know now that can tackle the problem even army cant stop them, they have shoot out with army and kill some army while army did not kill any of them, three days ago they have another encounter with army and army cant go near them in Awka. those armed robber are ever ready they are not afraid of nigeria force,do you know that the first attack they did in Awka last month they came with bazuka which means they are ready for any thing and secondly they have odeshi that means gun cant kill them.that is what gave them lever to use leg to patrol almost the whole street of Awka

Many of us were happy years ago when bakassi boys came on the scene and chased the hoodlums away. politicians like mbadinuju corrupted them and allowed fear to creep back into our lovely home state. I can swear u can find a link between these animals and politicians
