We all know sunnah is the deeds of Prophet Muhammad (saw)... We have compulsory sunnah and also we have sunnah that are not compulsory but rewarding to be practising it.. I have heard many lectures ruling out having Alfa's to preach on naming or wedding or burial ceremony... In fact the act is called bidiah... What i know to be bidiah is doing what Prophet Muhammad (saw) never did nor approve... If you have knowledge on Prophet Muhammad (saw) rulings about preaching on naming or wedding or burial ceremony.. Please share.. Jazakumllah hayran |

DeathStroke007: here's a guide which I believe would help, and which forms the basis of most actions. every act of worship with respect to the deen is prohibited except you find texts or evidence stating it's permissibility and mode. and every action with respect to worldly affairs is permissible until we find texts or evidences prohibiting them. and any permissible acts would definitely have mode of performance and other guidelines to carry them out as exemplified by the noblest of mankind. |
