The wails of the unborn babies heard,
Their future mother a cause of tears,
My village, now immorality dent,
Palm oil, my white now stained.

Gone to the earth like the dead Abacha,
Through the thin air unspoken,
Days when dogs barked at nudity,
And madness its mother's name,
Now this, the world embrace,
My head dodges as madness flies.

Abomination!
This must cease to continue,
The gods need to be appeased,
For ye, the holy temple disesteemed,
The price to appease the gods,
Must thine behold.

"One Python's eggs,
Two lions' teeth,
Three leopard's heart,
Four fat cows,
Five live lionesses,
Six live anaconda,
And seven Pacific cowries-
The sacrifice must be complete!"

The chief priest has spoken,
So, let the madness stop,
But can this be stopped?

Its so easy to be critical of other people's attempts when we can't even put up a better showing if given an opportunity.

It can be very difficult to come up with inspiration for a poem, especially since my inspirations come with emotions embedded in each word, phrase or sentence. I have been struggling since after the competition to write a line.

As long as the gods who cannot (Talk, Move, Protect and Defend itself) with the Chief Priest are enjoying those sacrifices above continually, it must be really hard for the madness of the gods and that of the Chief Priest to stop in the nearest future...

Thanks for the criticism. It would have been better if you had posted a poem of yours. Being comic or senseless to you doesn't mean it is bad but I will work on your criticism.

Sincerely, I didn't wish to. It's just amazing how one that has no knowledge of something can be so bold to tell someone else his 6 year old brother would write a better poem. Because he finds the poem funny? Because it made no sense to him? Hear those, brother!
