Israelis 'insulted' by Obama photo

Israeli media have described as 'offensive' a photo of US President Barack Obama, resting his feet on his desk while talking to the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the telephone.

The photograph which depicts Obama's shoe-soles in the White House's Oval Office, while he is 'dictating' orders on to Netanyahu over the phone, read the Israeli papers, according to Huffington Post.

They went on to ridicule Obama's recent speech in Egypt, in which he had, for the first time, referred to a 'Palestinian State' rather than Palestinians as people.

"Listen up and write 'Palestinian State' a hundred times. That's right, Palestine, with a P," an Israeli news outlet interpreted Obama's picture as denoting.

So far, there has been no reaction from the US administration officials on the alleged offensiveness of the photo. It could not independently be confirmed that the photo was shot while Obama was on the phone with Netanyahu.

Israeli media have criticized Obama's approach to the Middle East.

Israeli newscasters see the incident as rather analogous to an episode last year, when the Iraqi reporter, Muntadher al-Zaidi hurled his shoes at the then US president Bush in Baghdad during his farewell press conference.

According to the news report by the poster it seems like they are not sure he was actually speaking with the Israeli prime minister when he had his feet on his own table while on the phone. Why then are people overreacting based on something they ASS U ME

The content in bold refers, this is because the Arab is from a place Israel has forcefully taken and that place is within the seized lands. Considering the fact that the people inhabiting the state of Israel today ran away from some countries in Europe and were settled in the land of Palestine it is very very normal to see Arabs holding key positions in Israel because they are citizens in that country since Israel was not able to either kill all the Arabs they met there or send them away, far from the present state of Israel.

Saddam had a Christian as his second in command in Iraq even though Christians were in the minority - about 5% of the Iraqi population.

Please read the content below in blue. It must not be the Supreme Court. The point here is that having a sizable number of people in another country can produce such scenarios and as such should not be seen as a favor but a right for those that practice democracy.

So you acknowledge that Isreal practices democracy and that the minority has a means to achieve and attain the highest office based on the limitiation of their constitution. So what is your problem with Isreal or Jews? Why always hammering on them when other races do not even practice anything close to what they do? Why the hate?

It is the blanket commendation given to them irrespective of whatever atrocities that they commit that I am against.

I do not believe in blanket commendation or condemnation of anyone, any group or nation.

I prefer to judge people and nations based on their actions, blaming when it is necessary and supporting/praising when necessary.

But why the sole attention on the Jews? This is why I posed my question earlier. What have the Jews done that is different to what other races are doing? If they are no different than others, why the perpetual and selective attack on them alone?
