Leading opposition party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has lambasted President Goodluck Jonathan over his recent comment that the January’s fuel hike protests across the country, were sponsored by opposition parties.

The party said Jonathan is too “being blinded by power and insensitive to the sufferings of ordinary Nigerians.”

ACN in a statement issued in Lagos by its national publicity secretary, blamed Mr. president who he claimed enjoys everything free, at the expense of tax-paying Nigerian and could dare to ‘insult’ them for protesting.

The party said described Jonathan’s plan not rescind it’s decision in bringing back the fuel price to 70 as ” hostage to his thoughts and one completely out of touch, not only with ordinary Nigerians, but also with universal trends, because in Egypt, during the Spring protests in Thailand, when the Red Shirts took over Bangkok in the the United States of America, during the Occupy Wall Street, protesters were fed and provided water, blankets and medicine.”
