COMPARING YOUR LIFE WITH OTHERS

Brought out my phone to browse and surf the net and the first thing i saw was a picture if Chloe Grace Moretz who just won an award for her role in the movie `IF I STAY' .Undoubtedly she did well because i have watched the movie and i love the way she brought the role to life.

What i saw made me reminisce on my own life.The girl is just 18 and she is a already going places because of her acting.She is already winning awards and making money and i am sure she can fend for herself but what about me; I am just a university student who draws ,writes (like i am doing now) , act( i think i can but i am not sure) but i dont think this stuffs have worked for me.I can not even fend for myself but some of my agemates have started making money.

I look at myself and i feel so useless, so unserious ,so empty, and whatever word you can think of.I feel like i have talents but i feel like i am just deceiving myself because i have seen people......i mean talented people like Fola DAVID ,Will smith, Ryan Gousling and a whole lot of them who have won oscars but i am just here wishing.

Then my brain thinks in another direction; These people didnt just sit down and wish,they didnt compare their life with others like i am doing now,they actually worked hard and a focus in life.I said earlier that i am just a university student but then there are people looking for that admission, wishing to be called a university student but i was just busy comparing my life with other people instead of doing something, graduate ,work hard,show my talents (if i have any) and just be me.

I am sure a lot of people are just like me i.e wishing to be like other successful pepple and to be like their idols but these people didnt get there like that.....they worked hard so i want to say stop comparing ,stop wishing, show your talents ,build on them and be successful.Life is an express road and overtaking is allowed. People might get there before you but the truth is we will all get there if you dont stop moving your car and you continue moving forward.

Everything might seem stressful, frustrating now but i promise you that after making it ,those stressful years will be the most interesting experience you had during your course of struggle.So smile through the pain

I have decided to look forward and move at my own pace and stop comparing and wishing.I am sure i will get there, so would you.
