I just applied for 4 E-passports in UK and I’ve had to pay $137 x4 = $548 as the cheaper 32-page passports are not being issued in UK!
Someone please help with below because I’m feeling very ripped off at the moment?

Does anyone know why we have to pay additional $30 x 4 when we appear at the High Commission?
Why do you get a 64-page passport valid for only 5 years?
How come you don’t get the option of a 32-page passport in UK – our 4 passports would have been approx. $120 cheaper.

I very much doubt I’ll be using up the 64 page passport in 5 years!

If you feel ripped off, wait till you have your appointment and you have to pay £20*4(in postal orders) + if you request it posted (£7*4) in express self addressed envelope.
The validity of the passport is 5 years, because they want to charge you again in 5 years!!!
They simply charge what they can, because they can get away with it.
NB: Not forgetting your 5 - 6 hours wait at NHC!!! They have a lunch service £4 a plate. Cheer up and have fun!!!

Because they are using the money to service our corrupt politicans

Funny thing is that there isn't passport booklet nation wide, just a limited copy of 32 pages , no 64 pages anywhere .. Came back to nigeria to renew and was told to apply for 64pages that there isn't 32-- I applied and it took me 6 weeks to get my passport and it's base on one oga dat knows another oga in passport office that I reported d delay to , after waiting for one month and no passport had to play in to action to get my passport at all cost cos my residence permit was runnin out ... So I was told by the boss to write a letter to convert my previous application from 64- 32 pages .. Which I did and paid xtra money for it .. Nxt day I got my passport and left naija same day at night ...
