Dear nairalander
I received a call yesterday claiming I have submitted CV for the post of a customer care agent and asking if I would be available for the interview next week Monday....
My question now is , is it ideal for an organisation to call and ask if one will be available for the interview or they should have rather send the interview schedule message...Imagine the caller was even telling me the salary is 45k.

...just be careful. If they have a name, google it. In the realm of technology, there are no more hidden secrets.

Yes! A Hiring Manager might decide to call you on phone to confirm your availability for interview. Most time for urgent vacancy or for recruitment process effectiveness.

However, you are told the salary range so that the recruitment process won't be a waste of time.

I personally don't see anything wrong with the process the company took.
