The mum in law claimed to have used it on all her kids and recently on some relatives. The issue came up when the twins were rushed to hospital after one was found to be having challenges. The doctor however said the baby has jaundice and the omo was not d cause of the medical emergency.

Thank God the babies did not die.

Are the parents of that little baby that DAFT!!!, that they do not know that chemicals in laundry Detergents are harmful to Adults talk less a new born baby, and GIN as in Alcohol, Op must b kidding right, OMO kee...hmmph. Next thing now, she will use razor blade to design that baby's face.

My dear, what will I gain by making this up? I honestly want to know because I lived in Urhobo land where the MIL hails from & have never witnessed this. None of my kids were bathed with Omo.

Anyway I warned them to stop that practice, and it stopped. You see at times you need to stamp ur foot and be firm in protecting your loved ones against unwholesome practices and believes. Why will your MIL be against BCG, if something, God forbid, happens in the future, will she be there to run upadan with you. Please don't mind them, anything that will b inimical to your child(ren) wellbeing oppose it to the fullest, nothing will happen.....meanwhile that ur MIL sef, how she put her pikin for freezer

You are describing my MIL. I am due soon and I am not even thinking of calling anyone to bathe my baby after my experience with her on my first child. I don't have strength to argue. You are expected to saying yes and Nod in agreement with everything she says. Awa o to omo ri. Meaning We have not taken of children before. OP let them stop that MIL before something terrible happens to those kids. When it does, the parents bear the cost of hospital bills and the same MIL will say the parents are careless in taking care of the children. I am speaking from experience. May God save us.
