Maryland is believed to be dominated by Africa-Americans(Blacks) so Nigerians and other rest of blacks feel at home there. Texas is the second largest economic hub in America, so it attracts a lot of foreigners which cuts across all races.

You are right but to a larger extent, that's a lot already

it seems that way because it's the metro area.

And I was thinking LA had a large Nigerian population.
The DMV area, Houston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Columbus and Seattle, in that order, have highest concentration of Nigerians in the US.
