Dear Ladies,

You get married, start a family, and have a wonderful job.One day your husband tells you that He wants U to quit your Job,stay home and take care of the family and the house.

Will U agree to be a stay-at-home wife or dispute the idea
??

Can Housewives be called "real women"??
Re: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by SeanT21(f): 7:07pm On Jun 20, 2009
I have nothing against being a housewife but I can not see myself in that position. I am too Ambitious and Independent. I like the idea of going out there and making my own money. I think a husband will better respect a wife that makes her own money than a woman that relies on him for everything. I do not care If I marry a billionaire, I will never be a housewife. I will be out there doing what "real women" do.

Someone that is not relaying on a man for her well being. She buys what she needs and wants. Have a Job and take care of her home. She can stand on her own 2 feet without asking her husband for allowance.

What do U think of a wife that relies on U for money?? Will U marry a housewife??

I can't be a housewife, my mum has made sure we all understand the need to have a life of our own. I need to have goals that don't center on family, it doesn't mean family won't be my number one priority. She often smiles when she hears young girls saying 'my husband said i don't have to work', her response is always, 'one day you'll understand that although you may not have to, you need to'.

Let the man be a househusband and see how it taste. I can't. it is too boring and sets women back in all ramifications of life.

My husband does not tell me anything. We discuss issues. I cannot see myself as a housewife but my kids are my primary responsibility. If my work happens to get in the way then bye to it.

Can Housewives be called "real women"??

This is not a dogmatic issue.

While the lady might feel fulfilled to be a career woman, there is bound to be neglect of the kids, the husbands/family needs are hardly met and the family's future/peace is threatened. At least this in my opinion is the basis for the broken society in UK today.

A woman should work, if the hubby does not earn enough to cater for day to day needs and future savings. when What she earns is needed for the strength of the family. But when she works out of self fulfilment, and the hubby can afford her bills, then she is sitting on a time bomb.

why work because ur husband might dump u in future? why even go into a marriage with that mindset? Every marriage is different, the individuals are different and so are circumstances. Me dont think dogma's help in marriages.
Re: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by C2H5OH(f): 12:01am On Jun 21, 2009
That's right. Her mindset needs a lot of improvement.

I am not saying a women should go into marriage with that mindset. I am saying that "if" it happens then she will be able to have the exact same lifestyle she had when married.I see a bunch of ladies that fall into financial trouble after divorce because they were living of their husbands.

NICE CONTRIBUTION!!

nothing is broken down about uk societies either. maybe u meant single parent families.
IMO families with career parents are the most successful (with both parents involved in the upbringing of the child rather than leaving the task to just the mother).

women don't have the right to self fulfulment you mean? only men do?
imagine yourself dependent on somebody to do everything you need. even to buy sanitary pads or tampons u have to ask ur husband. that's a sad life to live IMO. some women prolly enjoy that but  lipsrsealed

No I am not planning for that. I would trust my wife to love me with respect.

And that's not a lie, don't pretend I'm making it up. I think you should have just told me instead of trying to avoid it. All I did was ask.
