LEADERS OF TOMORROW AND HOW IT AFFECTS THE YOUTH

We have in one way or the other are aware of the witty statement “Leaders of Tomorrow” which I really want to talk about. Many has rightfully interpreted the statement literarily in a way, but I am going to tell us especially the youths what we need to know about the encompassed meaning of the statement and its implementation thereof.

“Leaders of Tomorrow” the statement is a very concise one and such should have deep meaning and deep thoughts attached.

I will begin by defining in my own terms “leaders of tomorrow” which I would say is an ideology whereby people develop leadership tendency that has the ability and capability to define and author their future (tomorrow). This is not basically saying that leaders of tomorrow is when you find yourself leading an organization, agency, institution or Nation. It is not also saying is when you find yourself as a chairman of a trade union, village union or a market union.

Let me also categorically tell you that Leaders of Tomorrow doesn’t guarantee the positivity outcome of your tomorrow. What I really mean by that is this, when you relent in leading your future (tomorrow), you will end up being at the receiving side of your tomorrow. And whatever package that it offers whether good or disastrous, that you shall always receive as you journey into your tomorrow (future).

Leader of Tomorrow can be seen as negative or positive dispensation/act (which I want to focus on). It can be seen negatively to one or group of people and at the same time a positivity and a dream come true to others. Like in an exemplary case of a child born into servitude, who didn’t witness the slave trading but has felt its bad impact and reputation due to haunted identity and suffering incurred due to slavery. When the child eventually decides to shape his life towards regaining his freedom and start working towards achieving it. Is a matter of fact leading his tomorrow which to him, friends, and family is a justified act, keeping his leadership positive. But that might not be seen as the same case for his master who believe he owns him and his future, hence a negative leadership act.

What then is “Leader of Tomorrow”?

I know a lot of people might be asking that question right now, and luckily I have the answers.
Leader of Tomorrow is when you are the chief pioneer of your tomorrow. It is when your future is directly proportional on the decision you make for yourself, by yourself with you and yourself. It is when your very future is being mainly championed by you without fear nor favor but by self-worth or self-principles (discipline).

Additionally, Leaders of Tomorrow can be said to how people, group of people or citizens of a country decides on who stays in the picture of his/her affairs, on who represent them at each governmental levels and who rightfully can manage their resources. They are people who are able to create union for themselves and press home their demands, at the same time rendering out necessary services that ought to benefit all and sundry and eventually seeing through it.

Ironically, “Leaders of Tomorrow” is not a course one can study to become, it is not even in any curriculum anyway. It is also not a trade one can learn through apprenticeship. It is not a business you can venture and acquire many assets as you like. It is also not a fantasy one can only wish but won’t see.

Nevertheless, Leaders of Tomorrow is of the mind, it is what one believes in, it is your values be it social, academic, religion, political or otherwise. It is your realistic vision and a dream come true.

Finally, leaders of tomorrow is in you and can only be achieved through you and with yourself. I encourage you not to allow others take control of your tomorrow (future) because is certain that human beings fail. The rest would be history (you may not be comfortable with its outcome).

On this same note, I want to challenge every youth today to always try their very best to be the sole pioneer that will champion the leadership of their tomorrow without compromise. And I believe by so doing the youths that have been relegated to the background will in due time and once again be the Leaders of our Tomorrow. The youths will lead the president and government parastatals. Youths will lead the technology and development. Youth will lead the comfort, unity, faith, and peace of mankind. The youths will be the answer to the problems, needs and wants of humanity.
