The attacks on the Escravos–Warri-Lagos Pipeline may lead to significant drop in power generation as a result of disruption of gas supply to power stations in Ogun State, Kogi State Ondo State and Egbin Power Station in Lagos State.

An engineering team from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has been sent to ascertain the impact, as well as the implications of the multiple breaks on the gas pipeline. The pipeline was blown-up Thursday night at multiple points in Opudebubor, Okpelama and Kpokpo area, as well as Chanomi creek and Sahara, near Chevron platforms with reports linking it to resumed militancy in the delta.

It was gathered that the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline, owned and operated by the Nigerian Gas Company (NGC), a subsidiary of the NNPC, also supplies crude oil to Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company, as well as gas feedstocks to the West Africa Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo), West African Portland Cement Plants at Shagamu and Ewekoro in Ogun State, PZ Industries at Ikorodu, and City Gate in lkeja, Lagos.

The Group General Manager in charge of Group Public Affairs Division of NNPC, Mr. Ohi Alegbe said the attacks would affect gas supply to some power stations. He however stated that he was not sure if it would lead to complete shutdown of the affected power stations.

one thing I understand about this life is that whatever you do to your fellow man one day you must surely reap it that's karma for you.

apc as an opposition destroyed Gej's government with everything they could lay hands on, they didn't allow Gej to have a single peace in his administration yet today they are expecting peace and property after all they did to crumble Gej's government. no naa it doesn't work like that they're are now reaping their fruit and this is just the beginning.

for them to have at least 50% peace they'll apologize to Gej if not this government is destined to crumble.

I said this in 2014 that Buhari can never rule a united Nigeria

This is the time for Nigerians to call the militants to order. When the govt starts taking action, nobody should should shout rule of law. This is levying war against Nigeria and no private army can fight the govt and win.
Come to think of it, if the militants truly laid down their arms for amnesty, when did they re acquire the capacity to carry out these attacks? Was the past govt swindled despite spending so much on the militants instead of the depraved communities?
This is an opportunity to smoke them out finally.

This shows you are NOT very exposed.
It was the job of APC to bring Jonathan's government down. That is what the opposition does. Check the US, UK and Canada. but this destruction of pipelines is just the Delta State people destroying themselves.
Of the military clamps down it would be very serious for them

Ori e ti daru finally! So you mean we should now begin to worship some common, filthy & inglorious militants who r.aped our treasury for fear of igniting or triggering unrest in the Niger Delta?

Tompolo has formally declared war against the FG and must be brought to his knees even if it means Nigeria going up in flames.

This is not only the era of change but the change of era. Who is the father of Tompolo in Nigeria? Ubansa ya ci gutsun uwarshi!

No my friend, the past government of Ebele Jonathan empowered & funded them even more than our Military & Navy combined.

Tell me, where in the world are Militants & Rebels allowed, authorized or contracted to purchase War Ships on behalf of the Navy?

Though it is right for government to put an end to militancy, doing it now is ill advised since we are yet to implement the budget and begin total diversification of the economy. Going after militants when we are still dependent on their region for revenue is faux pas and totally a political blunder.

Where is Shekau? Catch him first and Nigerians would take you serious. Tell your APC rabble-rousers that there is something known as DIPLOMACY. Consolidate on the gains of the previous government and forge the country ahead.

In as much as i want Tompolo to answer to his crimes or fraud per say, we must nt do it @ d expense of innocent Nigerians. Remember wat happened in Udi, b4 NA arrived d real criminals as already escaped leaving innocent Nigerians to suffer. The question now is deir no oda way to contain tompolo without destroying properties or killing innocent Nigerians
