Our Client, one of the top players in the Pharmaceutical Industry, is currently in the process of recruiting a Compliance Officer in Sub Saharan Africa to be based in Lagos Nigeria. The job specifications are outlined below.



Position Purpose

· Responsible for overseeing and managing compliance issues

· Identify compliance risk, provide solutions and manage the change effectively.



Key Performance Areas

· Develop the compliance framework and lead compliance efforts by designing and implementing internal controls and standards of practice to assure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.

· Manage audits and investigations into regulatory and compliance issues, including sales and marketing activities.

· Evaluate and audit financial transactions and ensure they are in keeping with local and company laws.

· Respond to requests for information from regulatory bodies.

· Report to the legal and compliance manager and keep her informed of legal and compliance issues/ concerns.

· Maintain and manage compliance to the Pharmacode in the region and take appropriate corrective action as required.

· Develop and implement business continuity planning for region.

· Develop and maintain a Risk register for the region.



Minimum Requirements

· Must possess solid experience in Risk management, finance and legal controls.

· Audit experience is advantageous

· University Degree

· Law degree or similar would be advantageous
