SamJed:the only reason is that it is the position of the law! QED. Any attempt to colour it otherwise is the work of zombies. Let the law be above all. There is hope tyranny would be check mated! Thank you supreme court. |

Even though i am in support of wike winning and being the Gov of Rivers state. I have some concerns about the Impact of the supreme court Judgemment on elections in Nigeria in the future. It has indirectly rubbished the efforts at reducing election rigging thru the use of card readers. This judgment will embolden politicians to ignore the card reader and rig elections knowing that they have a chance of winning at the court based on the position of the law. We all know results were inflated manually even though wike would have still won if a free and fair election held. This judgement even though it has proven the independence of the judiciary at least at the supreme court has taken us many steps backward in achieving rigging free elections. I will like something to be done quickly legislatively with regards to card readers |

Hmmmmmmm Politics is all about personal interest. I rarely delve into state issues other than mine. @OP, your interest is your primary concern which is understandable. Be that as it may, the violence that marred the election in Rivers state will always elicit despair in minds of many. No matter the explanation that the SC may put forward later, one thing cannot be ignored - some dubious politicians are already analysing the judgement for future reference. Apparently, for now, maximum violence begets desired power. |

renzie:i may agree with u but remember what is good for the goose is also good for the gander...if Lagos state own was not annulled, then rivers state own should not be annulled. So i guess the lagos factor played a role in wike's victory. |

Thirdly, its a waste of time because the incumbent will still emerge the winner though he may have to step on some toes. Finally, Properties worth billions of naira will be destroyed when the two contending supporters clashes not just lives will be wasted but also properties. Thank God for the judgment of the Supreme Court. |
