The prophets of old in an attempt to describe the Kingdom that is reserved for the elect used earthly means which unfortunately, are not potent enough to clearly express this truth. No wonder Paul cried out in his epistle to Rome saying that he reckons that the sufferings of the present time were not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed. In another place, the first set of apostles rejoiced so well albeit the thirty-nine lashes save one issued to them among many other persecutions on account of the gospel. They had the revelaton of the riches in God's promises through Christ Jesus. The greatest enemy of Christianity is religion without revelation. When the revelation of the world to come dawns on a man's spirit in like manner as with the early apostles, the pursuit of God becomes a delight rather than an exhaustive and enduring fulfillment of doctrine. Revelation is the impetus for perseverance and unwavering faith. We live by faith... the kind of faith that comes from revelation. Revelation fuels our faith which brings the reality of the world to come up into our mind. No wonder a Christian with the deposit of God's Spirit cannot explain the joy in his heart albeit the presence of surrounding storms. Infact! we can say that the mechanical advantage of kingdom pursuit has a value of infinity because the ineffable kingdom that will be established after judgment outweighs our carnal efforts.
