When you are ready to be honest with yourselves, that is when your redemption will start.
Reasons are not far fetched:
- Insecurity in South East (Robbery, kidnapping etc)
- Dishonesty and lawlessness
- Lack of infrastructure...

Erisco foods owned by an Anambra man has built a tomato paste factory in Lagos. investnow2013, what do you say about that? How is it Rochas fault that Iheanacho decides to locate his refinery in Lagos instead of Imo?

Both Iheanacho and Erisco acted stupidly to continue investing outside Igboland in what is even better sited in Southeast. Is there crude oil in Lagos or tomato farms in Lagos? They have no reason. Those are the people Igbos should fight and stop disturbing Rochas Okorocha for not supporting the "buffoun".

Owerri is better than Lagos in those factors above and even has bigger and cheaper lands plus crude oil right at the spot without distant pipelines. That man is not wise.

can you go back and check Nigeria crime statistics southwest top the list and southeast at the bottom so which insecurity are you talking about that is not in abundance in southwest. Lack of infrastructures like seaports may have influenced his decision to build his refinery in lagos.

osun, oyo, lagos and the undisputed champion Ogun are the headquarters of crime in Nigeria. It seems you are current about the rate of crimes like kidnapping, armed robbery cases eg last week in osun, ritual killing everyday event in Ogun state eg a prostitute killed late last year. Imo indigenes are fond of investing outside their state.

Majority of Igbos that have investment outside their state are Igbo especially Orlu indigenes

Instead of investing in Imo state they prefer building residential houses, filing station and hotels in owerri and environ.

And this adversely effect the IGR of the state.

Come to Mowe, Ogun state and see a giant facility and industry owned by Finlab an Orlu man you will weep for Imo state.

Well, I wanna believe this is a rumour. But if true, then Iheanacho has shut himself in the foot big time. To think I even campaigned for the Lagos industrialist in the last election has left me sober.
How on earth can a whole Iheanacho abandon Imo state for Lagos for a project as big as a refinery. If Iheanacho continues with that project he should forget his political ambition to contest for even chairmanship position let alone govern Imo state till the dissolution of Nigeria.

Think, if you have the brain capacity to do so. Hurling insult is not a proof of intelligence. Is there anything pursuing you from south east? millions of SE in southwest ewedu statistics, come Anambra and see large numbers of yorubas here. So disappointed, because i am vouching for him to become nxt imo governor!!
His key campaign note was on industrialisation at the last gubernatorial elections, which he lost anyways.

Iheanacho emanated from a state where there is dearth of industries and the best he could have done was to site that refinery anywhere in imo, preferrably oguta..

Enough of this hotel madness in owerri, that encourages whoredom.
Give us industries in imo state!!

But when it comes to exotic hotels, motels and lounges, IMO state(owerri especially) has those in excess..but to site profitable industries na wahala! A popular owerri highlife artist sang a song about this situation.. They will never learn..trying to be one Nigeria more than those who fought (and are still fighting)for it..oh the irony!

as an igbo man if osun state that is going bankrupt and I see that there is a service or goods people there are travelling long distance to buy and sell expensive, and I am an expert in that service or goods don't you think I will migrant to osun state and open shop for the service or goods lacking there. In four years time I will be a millionaire and by the time others discover the opportunity I have already have a brand. You know why I will choose such place over onitsha or Aba cus there are one thousand and one people into that business here with some having more than ten years experience. So osun state is less competitive and good for my business. Same way teckno left china to Nigeria it doesn't make Nigeria better than china but the owners of teckno are generating more than they could have done in china cus the competition is more and they cant displace the big boys apple, HTC, Sony, etc. I just gave you a lecture on the mindset of an igbo man with business acumen

Why there are no pronounced industry in Orlu areas you mentioned:

Industries go hand in hand with research institutions, like universities and laboratories, where there is pipe-borne water or easy access to water, where there is security, security is normally beefed up where a large population and expensive infrastructures exist. None of these factors that favour industry exist in all the Orlu areas mentioned.

Chinese still have a very large population of poor people, that is why you will find them in Nigeria doing odd jobs. The rest of your trash does not need a reply. In your delusion grandeur, you may think that your parasite is better than the land owner. Most of your people are renting shops and paying rent and royalties to their landlords. The few among you that have properties did not realise that the title to the land is only about 99 years. After that the land reverts back to the owner.

Most important is that the Igbos in the SW make more business profit, expand, more than the SW landlord. At the end of the 99 years, the Igbo business man/tenant or his survivors must have made enormous profit that they can buy even the SW landlord and his land.

wetin una think: when the war ended, instead of reconstruction as proclaimed by Gowon govt for the southeast region which was the main theatre of war, SW people in the bureaucracy then diverted the reconstruction money to the southwest. Construcion took place in the southwest. Now SW is jealous that Igbos followed that reconstruction money to the SW.

Going by your analogy, orlu supposed to be industries or better still onitsha, aba, enugu, asaba, PH supposed to be dotted with industries owned by orlu indigiene.

Ugolab pharmaceutical is one of the biggest pharmaceutical company in Nigeria is owned by an Umudioka Orlu man.

Sun quick transport coy with a massive terminal in Festac, lagos is owned by an Amucha orlu man

Finlab an umudioka orlu man can only boast of a depot in owerri, but his mega industries in lagos and ogun state

the list is endless.

I laugh at your logic, the wealthiest nations in the world have poor people. Based on your logic every Chinese man who came here are poor people who came for odd jobs, bro you need to travel a bit to cure your ignorance. Yes most of my people are renting shops and many of them have properties in SW, how many of your people have those things outside your region? Even in London you people claims to be in. Back to the Chinese I hope you read everyday how their government grant loans to African countries including Nigeria for development purpose which most of the projects are executed by Chinese companies. Did you know how many Chinese companies that are in Nigeria from automobile to phones and beverages etc. Let's leave tribal sentiments and face facts, did you know there are thousands of yorubas making it big time in SE because the goods and services they render have less competition here, like tailoring and abuo( herbs) what makes them leave the almighty and Dubai of Nigeria "SW" to come to the east ? Opportunity and business acumen, here we are not good with herbs the way yorubas and benins are. SW lays in the most strategic location in Nigeria, access to the ocean seaport in lagos, lagos as former capital which attracted large numbers of people from every parts of the country and the world. Those who couldn't make it left for nearby states of Ogun and oyo cus of the access to lagos market "the largest in Africa" most igbo who migrated to the west discovered that the yorubas are more interested in administration than trading that is why the biggest markets in lagos are dominated by igbos. The attraction of people to a place is the opportunities they discovered that is why an igbo will be in any state and any country he found an opportunity we don't limit ourselves we explore. Remember after the war we started from zero to rebuild our lands, we left in doves seeking for opportunities anywhere we can find, in order to rebuild that is left in our land but despite the set back we later came on top in education, health and many more.
